Pointer answers a single question: where is the thing you are looking for? Hokuto Hario, billed as Compass Kid, spins on the spot until his own arms and legs settle into place, each one aimed at whatever person, location or object he has in mind.

Overview

Pointer was an Emitter Quirk with long range, held by Hokuto Hario of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, who went by the hero name Compass Kid. Its purpose was pure search: it revealed the bearing toward people, places and objects that its owner wanted to locate. Chapter 79 of that series marks its first appearance.

Mechanics

Activation was physical rather than mental. Hario had to rotate in place first, and once he came to rest his limbs settled aimed at the target of the search. Direction was all the Quirk delivered, nothing more. Because his arms and legs served as the needles, he was capped at three separate headings at any one time.

Notable Users

Hario, under the Compass Kid name, is the only recorded user, and the Quirk is treated as his alone. He is counted among both the Vigilantes original Quirk holders and the Pro Heroes.
