Chapter 79 (Vigilantes)

Gridlocked streets, a side effect of Pop☆Step's rampage, stall Koichi and his companions before they can reach her. He breaks off alone and moves across the stopped cars while Soga Kugisaki, Rapt Tokage, and Moyuru Tochi hunt for another route. A siren cuts through the noise and leaves the trio puzzled.

Elsewhere in the evacuation, Compass Kid and his partner Rock, secretly Number 6 in disguise, take the alarm as good news. They pass it to frightened civilians as proof that a hero unit is mobilizing and steer everyone toward shelter. Compass Kid then turns his Pointer Quirk on the neighborhood to locate stragglers and asks Rock to help clear them out.

On a rooftop, Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi argues with Endeavor. The objective, Naomasa insists, is arrest. Endeavor counters that a Quirk able to level a district makes Pop☆Step the equivalent of a trained army, so annihilation by wide-scale assault is the only sane answer, an assessment that leaves the detective stunned. Once Compass Kid confirms the area is empty and the Flaming Sidekickers send up their signal flames, Endeavor ignores the protest and unleashes his Ultimate Move, Hellfire Storm.

Watching the tornado of flame roll forward, Naomasa spots the precision beneath the spectacle: Endeavor is steering the vortex to spare the city. Bees pop apart in the heat as the column closes on Pop, who cannot react in time. Burnin's shout forces a grudging abort. The obstruction turns out to be Koichi, sliding down the street after Pop, and Naomasa identifies him as Naruhata's vigilante, The Crawler. Endeavor dismisses any unlicensed pretender as nothing more than another villain.

Compass Kid's Quirk is named for the first time. Pointer lets him indicate the direction of any person, place, or object he is searching for.

Endeavor debuts a fresh Ultimate Move, Hellfire Storm, a steered tornado of hellfire.

Endeavor publicly brands The Crawler a villain rather than a hero, refusing to draw a line between vigilantes and criminals.

The chapter ran in serialization under a different name, Number Two Hero, and was retitled Inferno Number Two when the volume collected it.

Endeavor and Bee☆Pop share the cover. The installment falls in the Final Performance arc of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi with art by Betten Court, and runs nineteen pages in volume 10.
