The Genius Office is Best Jeanist's hero agency in central Tokyo, a polished modernist workplace that matches its owner's fastidious image. It is remembered mainly as the office where Best Jeanist spent a week trying, and failing, to sand the edges off Katsuki Bakugo.
Best Jeanist owns and runs the Genius Office, rendered in Japanese as ジーニアス オフィス and seated in the center of Tokyo. It appears in Chapter 48 of the manga and Episode 27 of the anime.
Space and money are both evident inside. The furnishings lean modernist and brightly colored, arranged around a pair of long workstations lined with computers, while shelves along the walls carry trophies and decorative pieces. The exterior is a pearl-white block fitted with green glazing, its English name split so that "Genius" and "Office" sit a considerable distance apart on the facade.
The office's part in the story is a single internship. Best Jeanist watched Katsuki Bakugo behave in decidedly unheroic fashion at the U.A. Sports Festival and, rather than write him off, offered to sponsor him. Bakugo accepted and reported here for a week under the Hero Agency Internships program.
What followed was not the combat training Bakugo wanted. Best Jeanist spent the week attempting to flatten his temper and instill what he considered the values of a real hero.
The results disappointed both parties. The lessons largely failed to take, and Bakugo walked away convinced the whole stretch had been wasted.
Best Jeanist, whose real name is Tsunagu Hakamada, owns the agency and directs its operations. He is the one who extended the sponsorship offer after the Sports Festival.
