Chapter 115: The Good-Deed Collector

Uzuki resolves to spare Ai and Konomi and to move against Kindaka instead. He talks his reluctant brother into it by arguing that removing Kindaka and Yotsumura clears his own road to the chairman's seat. Asaki relents but warns that any failure will cost a life at the Al-Kamar orphanage. Moments later Akao presses a gun to Uzuki's spine, and he panics that she overheard the plot, only to find she is teasing him.

As the convoy rolls on, Akao spots a photo of Uzuki among childhood friends from the orphanage, a place he hopes to revisit once the job ends. The bald sniper Higuchi then blows apart a bridge span. Akao seizes the wheel and steers across the wreckage, while Kindaka carries the mother and daughter over the gap using his blinding speed. Sakamoto, seemingly stranded behind, snags a severed cable and swings across with impossible dexterity. As Higuchi seethes over his failures and readies another strike, Sakamoto materializes at his back and cracks him across the skull, calling the job done.

Uzuki abandons the plan to kill the Amo pair and instead targets Kindaka, revealing his ambition to become chairman. Asaki ties Uzuki's cooperation to hostages at the orphanage. Higuchi's sniper fire destroys a bridge, and both Kindaka and Sakamoto pull off superhuman crossings before Sakamoto ambushes Higuchi from behind.

Titled Tokuwotsumu Otoko, the nineteen-page entry rounds out Volume 13 within Taro Sakamoto's Past Arc. Asaki, Uzuki, Ai, and Konomi feature on the cover. It first ran in issue 20 of 2023.
