CharacterOgata was the homeroom teacher of Taishi Fura and Kishou Arima during the events of Tokyo Ghoul: Jack. A strict disciplinarian, he was gravely wounded in an attack carried out by the ghoul Tanaka.

A middle-aged man carrying a little extra weight, Ogata wore his brown hair cut short.
Personality
Strict and rule-bound, he favored studious pupils and had no patience for troublemakers like Taishi. He was quick to scold anyone who stepped out of line, and singled out both Arima and Taishi more than once.
History
In class he berates Fura over his frequent absences, and when Taishi grabs Arima by the collar, he throws Fura out for disturbing the better students. Later, making an evening round of the school, he spots Arima and Taishi lingering and moves to send them off. He never gets the chance. A janitor who strikes him as suspicious, in truth the ghoul Tanaka, drives a kagune into him and leaves him badly hurt. What becomes of him after the attack is left unresolved.
