Taishi Fura is a First Class ghoul investigator who, together with Kishou Arima, headlines the side story Tokyo Ghoul: Jack. What began as a teenage quest for revenge grew into a long CCG career, a marriage to his childhood friend, and command of the Fura Squad over the 7th ward.
In his teenage years Fura stood tall with orange hair and dark eyes, wearing the school uniform loosely and sporting piercings in his left ear. By adulthood the look had changed considerably: his hair is now dark and swept back, and he dresses in the suit and tie standard among CCG investigators.
As a young man Fura was rebellious yet driven, loud and quick to anger. He and Arima clashed constantly over petty things, with Fura needling his classmate for being anything but normal. School held no appeal for him and he cut class often, and his impatience showed in how eagerly he wanted to strike the moment a suspect stirred, a trait sharpened by his thirst for revenge. Underneath the temper he was fiercely protective of the people close to him.
By the time of Tokyo Ghoul:re he has hardened into a seasoned investigator whom little can shake, whether an argument or a live battle. The years spent with Arima and Minami left their mark on how he regards the job and the creatures he hunts: to him, working for the CCG amounts to being paid to end lives, and he sees ghouls as no different from people.
Fura grew up alongside Arima at Seishin High School. He disliked class but shouldered the shopping and housework at home because his mother would not, and he kept two close friends: Ryou, his baseball partner, and Aki Sasada, a girl he liked. After giving up baseball he ran with a biker gang that included both of them. The arrival of a transfer student pulled him back toward regular attendance, and when he spotted Ryou and Aki racing their bikes he went to meet them just as the ghoul Lantern targeted their group. Ryou died shielding an overpowered Fura, and Aki lost her right eye to the same ghoul. Vowing to avenge his friend, Fura begged Arima, who was already working the Lantern case undercover, to let him join the hunt. The investigation ended with the two of them killing Lantern, who proved to be Uruka Minami, a girl who had been feeding them leads on ghouls to destroy all along.
Years into his CCG career, Fura had to leave Kureo Mado's funeral early when a suspect began moving, remarking that there was not even time to grieve. He led a raid on the Ghoul Restaurant only to find Kaneki's group had already leveled it, and he later fielded questions from Koutarou Amon about the Black Rabbit stirring in the 7th ward. During the Owl Suppression Operation he served under Mougan Tanakamaru against the Apes, and in the anime he battled the forces of Kaya Irimi and Enji Koma before joining Mougan, Take Hirako, Kuramoto Itou, Chuu Hachikawa, and Ayumu Hogi to beat back Aogiri Tree ghouls until Naki called a retreat.
In the Rose Extermination he sat on the S1 panel with Koori Ui and Hairu Ihei and briefed the Quinx Squad on Hairu's record. He helped ambush Matsumae, cautioned Hairu about her sharp tongue, and backed Sasaki's proposals, once accusing Ui of rejecting a sound plan simply to deny Sasaki more credit. When his squad ran into the White Suits allied with Miza Kusakari and Shuu Tsukiyama during the Rushima Landing Operation, he seized on a lapse in Kaya Irimi's attention to strike her from behind. As Matsuri announced Arima's death at the operation's close, Fura wept a single tear and called his old friend an idiot. He carried on with the TSC afterward, rose to associate class at forty-one, and finally gave up smoking for the sake of his daughter.
His long tenure made him a capable First Class swordsman. He fielded two quinques: Lantern, a rate A+ bikaku forged from Uruka Minami herself, the first ghoul he ever killed, and Steiner, an S-rated koukaku.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
