Overview
This Paramecia belongs to Tsuru of the Marines. Its title comes from wosshu, a Japanese approximation of the English term wash, and the VIZ manga and Funimation releases render it as the Wash-Wash Fruit. Consuming it turns the holder into what is dubbed a Laundry Human, or Washer Human in the VIZ wording.
Mechanics
Its core power treats a living target, or any object, the way a launderer handles garments, wringing it out and pinning it up. Whoever is processed this way seems robbed of any ability to resist or even shift position. Oda has added a second layer: a villain who has been dried loses some of the malice from the heart, so that wickedness grows fainter, which makes the power genuinely threatening against pirates. How Tsuru activates it has never been shown, and beyond the usual Devil Fruit vulnerabilities it carries no documented weakness.
Notable Users
Tsuru is the only known holder. She has been seen turning several Whitebeard Pirates into laundry to shut them down in a fight, and she can rinse a measure of evil from an enemy's heart so that they come away slightly less corrupt. Fans often liken this fruit to the bubble-based Awa Awa no Mi, since both revolve around washing and cleaning.
