Bad Romance

Bad Romance is a DISC-bound, automatic Stand that Whitesnake gives to Fujiko Fujiyama in the light novel Fujiko's Bizarre Worldly Wisdom. It takes a feminine human form, crowned by a plumed headpiece that echoes Whitesnake's own, with heart-cut gems set where its eyes would be and what looks like a brassiere across its chest.

The Stand seizes the feelings of anyone who accepts a piece of Fujiko's artwork. Once that link is made, whatever she later draws of that person dictates how they feel, so a sensual portrait floods the subject with arousal while a saintly, devotional rendering fills them with serene enlightenment. Jolyne Cujoh, drawn in religious style, even found herself slipping effortlessly into difficult yoga poses under the influence.

Fujiko Fujiyama, an inmate at Green Dolphin Street Prison, sold her drawings for money and received the DISC from Whitesnake during her incarceration. Buyers of her later work kept returning, unable to pull themselves away from the images, and she eventually turned the power on Jolyne. When Enrico Pucci discovered her sketching Jolyne as a holy figure, he feared the art might strengthen his enemy and reclaimed the DISC that held the Stand.
