Crazy Diamond

Crazy Diamond serves Josuke Higashikata throughout Diamond is Unbreakable. It is a broad, muscular humanoid that towers about two heads over Josuke, wearing tall headgear built like part of a helmet, armored plating spread over its body in the manner of The World, and cables running from the back of its head down to its upper back. Heart shapes recur across its frame, from the crown to the knees, with short spikes at the shoulders and ankles, and its usual palette pairs a bubblegum-pink interior with pale blue or silver armor. It carries no real personality beyond a battle-ready fury and its cry of DORARARA. Reflecting Josuke's mix of gentleness and roughness, it opens its hands to touch living things carefully but drives in with its fists when the moment is urgent or the target is an object.

Like Jotaro's Star Platinum, Crazy Diamond is a close-range Stand that trades reach for raw physical power, striking only within about two meters. Its strength is enormous, enough to punch clean through two people's midsections at once, and it holds its own against a Star Platinum dulled by six years of disuse. Its speed matches that ferocity: it can catch a fully alert Red Hot Chili Pepper off guard, outrun a Stand like Highway Star up close, and even snatch a bullet fired near Josuke. Josuke pegs its blows above 300 kilometers per hour, though that figure sits oddly against comparisons putting its speed near Star Platinum's own. With focus, it can also flick a rifle round from its fingertips out to fifty or seventy meters.

What sets it apart is restoration, the power to fix objects and living things by touch. It can seal damage, close wounds, and roll complex structures back to their raw state, turning a plate of finished spaghetti into its uncooked ingredients. It can fuse things together too, once merging a man with a rock, and the user decides which fragment the rest gathers toward when reassembling something broken. Josuke uses this to snare an enemy inside a reconstituting crate, to expose a Stand hidden inside an object, and to track a foe by mending a severed hand so it crawls back to the body it came from.

The ability has firm limits. If Josuke is in a sour mood while using it, the repair can go wrong and leave the target twisted. It cannot mend Josuke himself, cannot cure sickness since the ill are not counted as damaged, cannot bring back anything erased by The Hand, and cannot return life to the dead.

Josuke Higashikata is the sole wielder, an illegitimate Joestar whose kind but scrappy temperament shapes how the Stand behaves. Jotaro Kujo, testing him early on, notes that Crazy Diamond's strength would trouble his own long-idle Star Platinum, and its healing makes Josuke an invaluable ally who can patch up nearly any injury his friends take.
