Harvest

Harvest belongs to Shigekiyo Yangu, nicknamed Shigechi, and appears in Diamond is Unbreakable, counting among the rare Colony Stands, since it splits into roughly five hundred small units that can act on their own. Each unit is a little oval, insect-like figure with four jointed arms, two legs and a bulging rear reminiscent of a bee's abdomen, its body striped in bold black and pale purple bands. Their faces double as pouches for carrying items, and a hole in each forehead can extend a needle. Araki drew the concept from honey bees, and most media color them yellow and purple. They chirp only a few set phrases such as Found it! on their own, though Shigechi can speak full sentences through them.

Individually the units are frail and easy to smash, yet destroying them barely troubles Shigechi, which makes him unusually durable in a fight. What one unit lacks in power the swarm makes up for in numbers: a single fist can still punch a small hole through flesh, and together they mob a target's weak spots, such as the eyes, or move fast enough to outrun an athlete and even haul their master up the side of a building. The Stand's namesake talent is gathering: Shigechi can order the units to fan out and retrieve any object light enough to carry, using them at first to collect stray coins and later, on Josuke's tip, more valuable store coupons, all across a range that spans an entire town. Every unit also hides a hypodermic needle capable of injecting fluids straight into a victim's bloodstream, which Shigechi once used to dose Josuke and Okuyasu with alcohol and dull their fighting ability.

Shigekiyo Yangu is the sole user of Harvest. Its harmless look and petty everyday use cause opponents to underestimate it, but paired with Shigechi's inventiveness the colony proves a genuine threat, capable of overwhelming Josuke and Okuyasu and even menacing Yoshikage Kira. The anime notably renders the swarm with computer-generated 3D models rather than the hand drawing used for most Stands.
