Milagro Man

Milagro Man first surfaces in JoJolion as the Stand of a long-dead arms merchant, and it operates entirely on its own without a living master directing it. Its shape is a faceless humanoid of uncertain sex, patterned with upward-pointing triangles that include horns on the shoulders and elbows, and open holes run through its head, arms, palms, and legs. In color pages it appears in shades of orange and beige. What defines it is not its look but a curse that clings to whoever it touches.

The Stand generates and copies money out of nothing, with the currency shifting to match whatever country it currently sits in. Fresh bills seem to sprout from the corners of existing ones, and while no two are identical, every note carries a serial number ending in "13R". Anyone marked by a simple touch begins earning cash without pause, and the total keeps climbing until the person is literally entombed in it and dies by crushing or suffocation.

Escape is nearly impossible through ordinary means, because spending or destroying the money only returns it, and always in a larger amount than was lost. The single way out is to hand the money back to its prior holder or arrange for someone else to destroy a bill, at which point the curse leaps to that new person. This is exactly how the affliction has drifted from one victim to the next across the years.

The curse began with a weapons dealer who, ruined by a lawsuit, murdered his family and burned down his mansion, leaving a single scorched bill behind. Zaihei Nigatake carried it for two years in Morioh after stealing a banknote from the previous holder in Hamburg. Joshu Higashikata briefly inherited it, then used Nut King Call to fasten a cursed bill to Nigatake's bottle and pass the burden back.
