Nightbird Flying

Nightbird Flying appears in the Purple Haze Feedback novel as the Stand belonging to Angelica Attanasio. From a distance it passes for a genuine bird about twenty centimeters long, but a closer look reveals clusters of spider-like eyes across the left of its head, worm-shaped tendrils growing from the right socket, and small mechanical legs. It shows no real personality, though a kind of autopilot keeps it drifting toward the warmth of nearby people.

Because it looks and moves like a bird, the Stand does not engage in direct combat, yet it flies fast enough to overtake a helicopter traveling at 250 kilometers per hour. Its true power is the ability to trace an individual soul. Anyone it locks onto develops the effects of a lethal drug addiction, still able to recall their own identity while the rest of their memory dissolves into confusion. It clouds targets with hallucinations and strips away their judgment and reasoning. The effect only holds while the target stays within range, and its intensity grows weaker the farther the main body drifts from the Stand.
