Star Platinum

Star Platinum belongs to Jotaro Kujo and ranks among the very first Stands the series ever showed, accompanying him across Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable, and Stone Ocean. Named for the tarot card The Star and designed to resemble a guardian spirit, it mirrors Jotaro's tall, muscular build, with long flowing hair, a metallic headband, studded gloves, and armored guards. Its skin ranges through purples, blues, and greens across adaptations, and its clothing turns white in the Diamond is Unbreakable anime to match Jotaro's own change of wardrobe.

It stands among the mightiest Stands in the story, scoring top marks in every category but range, which reaches only about two meters. Its strength can fling a loaded jeep clear of an oncoming truck and shatter artificial diamonds, its speed can catch a bullet fired at point-blank range and is said to exceed light, and its precision lets it pluck an object out of a skull or pinch a tiny Stand between two fingers. Star Platinum also possesses eagle-sharp eyesight that can pick out details four kilometers off, superhuman lungs able to inhale an entire fog Stand, a rapid punch barrage called the Ora Ora Rush, and the Star Finger, which stretches its fingers a meter or two to stab from a distance. A streak of self-preservation drives it to guard Jotaro even when he is unaware, halting a bullet he fires at his own head and once restarting his heart by hand.

During the climax of Stardust Crusaders it awakens Star Platinum: The World, freezing the flow of time for a few seconds while Jotaro alone moves freely. In his prime the stop ran five seconds, faded to half a second after years of neglect, then climbed back to full length by Stone Ocean. In the game Eyes of Heaven, clashing with Heaven Ascension DIO lets Star Platinum copy The World Over Heaven's power to overwrite reality itself, a limitless ability that unwinds once that DIO is defeated.

Jotaro Kujo is the sole user throughout the three parts in which the Stand appears. Jotaro calls it deeply violent; it stays silent apart from its punching cries of ORA ORA ORA and wears a face human enough to scowl or grin, its later smiles serving only as a warning of the beating to come. The shared close-range nature of Star Platinum and DIO's The World is what let Jotaro's Stand grasp the time-stop power for itself during their final duel.
