Surface

Surface, also labeled Show Off, is the Stand of Toshikazu Hazamada in Diamond is Unbreakable. At rest it looks like a life-sized mannequin with screws poking from its head, and it is generally drawn in the light brown of its wooden body. Once at work it assumes the exact look, voice, wardrobe, and habits of another person, betrayed only by the screw fixed at the center of its forehead. Empty of character on its own, it borrows the personality of whoever it happens to be copying, and it proved cheeky enough to taunt its own master.

Surface's central power is to duplicate another person, matching appearance, voice, and mannerisms right down to the fingerprints, with only the forehead screw giving the disguise away. Because it is a bound mannequin, harm done to it never carries over to Hazamada, though it stays wood at heart, so he hurts his hand striking it, and any severed piece reverts to bare timber.

Its more dangerous gift is control over the copied person's movements. While impersonating a target, Surface can force that person to mirror its own motions, which left Josuke unable to swing at it because standing still froze him in place and kept his short-range Stand out of reach. The catch is that Surface must remain directly in front of its victim for the manipulation to hold.

Toshikazu Hazamada is the Stand's user, most often sending it out disguised as Josuke Higashikata. Hazamada's clumsy, impulsive handling, however, keeps Surface from reaching its full menace.
