Tubular Bells

Tubular Bells mostly manifests through the results of Mike O.'s power rather than as a fixed figure, with his balloon animals in particular gaining a measure of independence and a pair of small, shining eyes. The many shapes he molds them into draw on assorted styles of balloon art. As an ability-granting Stand deployable over long distances, it hands Mike O. a broad set of options in a fight, though like most of its kind it does poorly at guarding its user directly.

The heart of the power is inflating metal by blowing into it as though it were rubber. Nails, screws, fences, tin shutters, and other metallic items swell up at his breath and partly take on a balloon's traits, floating in the air, stretching to fit through narrow gaps, and yielding easily to reshaping. The form of each balloon tends to follow the object it came from, so long nails make long thin shapes while flatter pieces turn round.

Mike O. models the inflated metal into automatic drones, most often balloon animals such as dogs from nails or birds from tin, and can sculpt them remotely and set them to simple orders. He can register a scent into a balloon so it attacks anyone carrying it, though that same autonomy lets the creatures be misdirected onto the wrong person. When a balloon reaches its mark it burrows in and snaps back to its original shape, embedding the metal harmfully inside. By turning a heavy flat sheet into a floating balloon he can even rig a guillotine holding enough stored energy to bring down a wall.

Mike O. is the only wielder of Tubular Bells, using it against racers during Steel Ball Run, including a strike that accidentally catches Scarlet Valentine and an ambush aimed at Hot Pants.
