CharacterThe Guard Rail, also called Radio Gaga, is a rock animal that appears late in JoJolion. Serving as the antagonist of the Radio Gaga Incident, this predator disguises itself as an ordinary roadside barrier and lures prey with mimicked voices before crushing them between its steel plates.
Appearance
Outwardly the creature is indistinguishable from an everyday roadside barrier. It conceals a second, genuine form, which reveals a pair of human eyes.
Abilities
Radio Gaga draws victims close by imitating the voices of those it has already devoured, vibrating its own surface like a loudspeaker to produce the sound, a trick that lets it hunt birds and other animals. People caught in its pull begin behaving oddly, muttering the syllable it is named for or stripping off their clothes. Once a target comes near enough, the rail pulls them in between its metal plates to crush and digest them.

History
In 1941 someone followed a voice issuing from a guard rail, only to be pulled apart and vanish into it, leaving behind nothing but clothing and a severed foot; the episode came to be called the Radio Gaga Incident. That same year in Morioh, Lucy Steel sought out Joseph Joestar to learn more about the Locacaca fruit, and while investigating she recognized his kinship to Johnny Joestar by the star-shaped birthmark he carried. The Guard Rail tried to eliminate the pair but failed and slipped away.
