Minoru Kaigamori

Minoru wears his hair somewhere between dark and light brown, with sideburns showing beneath a hat dotted in blue and white. His eyes read as dark or blue depending on the version, framed by lashes of moderate length.

Only recently hired, Minoru is still finding his footing and admits he does not quite know how to carry himself in a meeting. His work nonetheless earns respect, and Rohan is taken aback that an editor of his standing had never heard of the De Stael art book, having assumed the name belonged to a music group.

Minoru sits down with Rohan to discuss an advance on his manga pages, only to be told he has shown up far too early. Rohan reveals that he is now broke and staying at Koichi's home, with the De Stael art book as his one remaining belonging. When Tamami Kobayashi and Akira Otoishi barge in seeking autographs, Minoru shoos them off because the pair are busy, and Rohan, bristling at being treated like a sluggish artist, notes he has already signed for them.

Rohan goes on to recount buying six mountains for his research into a Yokai legend, a purchase meant to block a company from raising a resort on the land. Once the resort scheme collapsed, the property lost its worth and left him unable to recoup the cost. Minoru quietly frets over the mangaka's state of mind and looks away rather than comment, privately judging him a little unhinged, until Rohan insists the research paid off and starts to lay out what he found.
