Paco Laburantes

Paco is a muscular, athletic young man whose ear is missing a chunk, bitten off by his abusive father, and whose eyes are ringed by dark marks. He carried extra weight until a couple of years before the story, when he trimmed down to a ripped build.

His hat bears a nameplate reading P∆CO, and that same styling is carved into his belt buckle and onto one of the straps crossing his chest.

Quiet by nature, Paco speaks up only when the moment calls for it. Usagi Alohaoe grates on him constantly, and he bluntly tells him to shut up over notions like color codenames. He and Jodio start out as mere co-workers, but Paco warms to him after Jodio helps him slip past the police.

Jodio pegs him as a petty thief who loves stealing above video games or food, a young man living the same criminal life as Jodio and Dragona. His schooling is clearly weak given his age, and he keeps a violent streak, squaring up to fight Dragona even while cowed by her scolding.

Paco lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he endured a father who came home drunk and abusive and once bit off part of his left ear. During Paco's third year of high school, that father was convicted of a murder he claimed to have blacked out for and drew a ten-year sentence, after which Paco fell in with a neighborhood gang. Held back a year in class, he is rumored by Barbara Ann Joestar to have spent roughly a year in prison himself.

As the story opens, Paco, Jodio, and Dragona are summoned by their boss Meryl Mei Qi to plan the theft of a Japanese tourist's blue diamond worth six million dollars, with Usagi added as a fourth member. A drug deal turns out to be a DEA sting, and Jodio uses November Rain to wipe the evidence and get them both clear, which impresses Paco. Driving the group's rental to the tourist's villa, Paco maps out the heist and helps lift the diamond, only for a string-like Stand to bind him and Dragona; he scrapes it loose with THE Hustle. The villa's owner proves to be Rohan Kishibe, who reads and incapacitates the group with Heaven's Door.

Afterward the crew realizes the strange lava rock they found may be worth even more than the diamond. Paco carries the diamond as they flee, but valuables keep vanishing back toward the rock, and he and Dragona end up sewn together by the wire, briefly convinced Usagi has betrayed them and made off with the loot. Sheltered under Jodio's Stand, Paco climbs to free them and is nearly crushed before Usagi returns, having not abandoned them after all. Later, while waiting for a flight back to Oahu, the group experiments with the lava rock and grasps that anything valuable finds its way back to it, just as Jodio senses they are being tracked.
