Scolippi

Lean but well-toned, Scolippi is an Italian man who keeps his straight hair at shoulder length, lined with a row of clips and falling into a pronounced fringe on the right. Dark eyeliner rings his eyes. His outfit pairs a simple top studded with metal plates and cut open at the shoulders with dark trousers patterned in a spiderweb design. The circlet of thorns he wears, together with the hand wound Mista later inflicts, evokes imagery of Christ and the stigmata.

Reserved and gentle by nature, Scolippi comes across as timid yet kindhearted; he even kept himself out of sight of his girlfriend's father despite their serious relationship. He weathers Mista's threats and beatings with striking composure, patiently laying out how his ability works. Because Rolling Stones lets him sense whether or not he is destined to die, he stays calm even with a gun pushed into his mouth, certain of his own survival. He holds no grudge against those who wronged him, viewing everyone as puppets bound to fate, and he goes so far as to pray for the very assassins his Stand can no longer reach. A deep faith in destiny underpins all of it.

A born Stand user, Scolippi wields the rock-like Rolling Stones, which pursues people marked for death and offers them a gentle end, though he holds no command over it. He first appears as a working sculptor accused of murdering his girlfriend, and although the courts have already cleared him, her father asks Bucciarati to see justice done. Mista is sent to force a confession, but Scolippi insists he never used his Stand to kill her, and his account is brushed aside amid the beating and gunfire. All the while Rolling Stones hunts Bucciarati, and Mista scrambles to keep it away; by the time he finally accepts the truth, Scolippi has already slipped into unconsciousness. Once Bucciarati survives the encounter, the sculptor frets over the hardships now waiting for the group and offers a prayer for their success.
