Summary

Suguru locks down the Q member Kokun using a curse that yearns to kiss him, and the cornered soldier swears to abandon the curse-user life and raise rice out in the countryside if let go. Kokun warns that Bayer, the toughest fighter Q has, will arrive to wipe them all out, so Suguru simply produces a phone snapshot of Bayer already crushed by Satoru. With its strongest gone, the group disbands at once. Far off, Shiu Kong locates Toji at a boat race, where the assassin gambles after burning through a thirty-million-yen advance meant to exhaust the young Gojo heir along with the sorcerers guarding her.

Key Events

Owing his client a report, the wary representative listens as Toji swears the money is a guaranteed return, even while the very bet he is watching loses. Told the group is relying on him, the Sorcerer Killer is asked how Megumi fares and cannot so much as recall the name. Over with the vessel, Riko jolts awake cradled in Satoru's arms and lashes out instantly, taking the boys for her assailants until her caretaker Misato Kuroi steps in to set things straight. Once everyone is on the same footing, Riko begins talking about her tie to Master Tengen, but the two boys tune her out, and she notices she is now late for class.

Notes

By Tengen's instruction, Riko goes back not to Tokyo Jujutsu High but to Renchoku Girls' Junior High, since the merger will end her existence and her remaining days are meant for her own enjoyment, a mercy Kuroi is grateful for. Suguru then reviews his surveillance curses and finds two of them wiped out, so he and the others bolt to reach Riko. Two curse users have breached the campus, drawn by the thirty-million-yen bounty Toji posted on the girl through a dark site catering to curse users; these men have shown up to claim it. The chapter debuts Misato Kuroi, wraps the clash against Bayer and Kokun, and lines up with the anime's twenty-sixth episode.
