Rivet Stab

Rivet Stab entered All For One's arsenal the way most of his powers did, lifted from a person the story never names. He carries it for years before it changes hands again, ending up with Tomura Shigaraki as part of the inheritance that turns the younger villain into a walking arsenal.

Classified as a Transformation Quirk with medium reach, it debuts in Chapter 90 and arrives in the anime with Episode 48. Fans often note how closely it resembles Blackwhip, since both sprout whipping appendages from arms, hands, and even the spine. The distinction is one of category and substance: Blackwhip is an Emitter power throwing out tendrils of energy, while Rivet Stab physically reshapes the body into black growths that grow straight out of it.

Activation sends dark, rope-like limbs snaking out of the user, most often through the fingertips. Their surfaces are broken by glowing red fissures, giving them a fractured look. The hands are not the only launch point, and the story shows them bursting from the spine and from an open palm as well.

Sharpness is the main selling point. These growths run people through without resistance, and they cut into concrete and steel just as readily. Once extended, they can keep multiplying, fanning outward into a lattice, sprawling like webbing, or braiding into thick creeping vines of overlapping stalks.

Lethality appears to be optional. When All For One paired the tendrils with Forced Quirk Activation to trigger a distant person's power, his target walked away unharmed, which suggests the wielder chooses whether contact wounds. The growths are also not indestructible: Izuku Midoriya has ripped straight through a mass of them by attacking with enough ferocity.

All For One treats Rivet Stab as a versatile extension of himself. He fuses it with an unnamed mouth-generating power to sprout a trio of snarling heads riding on necks built from the tendrils, along with a colossal club of massed stalks, then repeats the trick to raise two towering vines crowned with enormous jaws. Facing the armored All Might, he conserves stamina by threading a net of the growths through the surrounding walls and firing them out at his old rival, shearing the tip off the suit's Tailman attachment. A follow-up web carves the armor apart and hurls the former Symbol of Peace clear as he escapes a Can't Stop Twinkling detonation.

Tomura Shigaraki turns the Quirk into a killing tool. Scorched by Endeavor's Prominence Burn, he answers by impaling the hero outright, and a second thrust aimed at Izuku Midoriya instead catches Katsuki Bakugo, who shoved his friend clear at the last instant. Later he syncs the tendrils with Search, locking onto Izuku's exact position before striking.
