Transform

Transform is the Quirk Himiko Toga carried, a Transformation type whose reach depends entirely on having a target's blood in her system. It surfaces in Chapter 105 and Episode 54, though its rules are not laid out for readers until Chapter 114 and Episode 60.

Two things define it: a disguise total enough to walk a villain through a government examination ringed by Heroes, and a hunger inseparable from the power itself, which is why the ability shapes Himiko's psychology as much as her tactics.

Swallowing blood is the price of admission. Once it is inside her, Himiko can become that person: not an approximation, but a copy accurate down to small details, voice included. Gray slime sheathes her during the change, and she steers it into whatever shape, texture, and outfit she wants. Clothing gets copied too, though it forms as a layer above what she is already wearing, so a convincing disguise means stripping first. Reverting has an awkward consequence, since her own garments vanish outright and leave her bare or in a bodysuit.

How long a face lasts scales with how much she drank, roughly a day per cup. Carrying several people's blood at once lets her flip between their appearances freely, never needing to revert in between. Her support gear suited the requirement: needles and a mask drew and delivered blood quickly, with a reserve stocked on her utility belt.

The Awakening changed the ceiling. Afterward she could reproduce the Quirk of whoever she was wearing, provided she felt genuinely close to that person and had studied the ability enough to understand it. Copying a power this way also matched her blood to theirs, making a safe transfusion possible. Zero Gravity and Double are the two she reproduced.

The limits are numerous. The Quirk handles looks and nothing else, so personality, memories, and knowledge must be researched separately or the act collapses. Blood that another Quirk has tainted is a real danger, as Curious proved by detonating what Himiko had swallowed, and heavy injury or overuse can crack the illusion and expose part of her real face. Unlike Copy, Transform hands over no instinctive grasp of a borrowed Quirk, and her emotional state can throttle it: her hatred of Heroes diluted the affection the power runs on, which is why the Twice-derived duplicates she made of Dabi, All For One, and Tomura Shigaraki could not use any abilities of their own. Copying a Quirk also left her aching afterward, and before the Awakening the ability offered nothing offensive or defensive at all.

Himiko Toga is the only person shown with Transform, and it steered her entire life. As a small child she drank from a dead bird, then carried it to her parents smiling and asked if it was pretty. Their horror hardened into pressure: counselling, correction, and an instruction to behave normally. Bottling the instinct only fed it. In middle school she snapped, cutting a beaten classmate named Saito and drinking through a straw in open bliss, then fleeing into a run of murders defined by drained bodies. Repression, not the Quirk alone, pushed her into villainy.

Paired with her stealth and agility, the ability made her a formidable infiltrator. Wearing Camie Utsushimi's face, she walked into the Provisional Hero License Exam, went unnoticed by Camie's own Shiketsu classmates until she left, and convinced Izuku Midoriya that Transform was Camie's Quirk. She switched into Rock Lock on the spot when Izuku and Eraser Head appeared, holding the cover just long enough to close in with a knife. Her other stolen faces range from Ochaco Uraraka and Deku to Froppy, Dabi, Twice, a Near High-End Nomu, and All For One himself.

Her named techniques all lean on borrowed Quirks. Skill Release floats objects with Zero Gravity, then drops the effect so they slam down. Sad Man's Parade copies Double to bury opponents under Twice duplicates, Sad Man's Death Parade is the enraged version meant to kill, and Sad Man's Legion fields clones wearing faces harvested from the Gunga Mountain Villa ruins. The Quirk also holds a franchise distinction: none had ever Awakened before it did.
