Zoom is a Mutant Quirk of long range belonging to Mei Hatsume, a student in U.A.'s Support Course. Rather than emitting anything, it is simply built into her eyes, granting vision that magnifies at will. The ability turns up in Chapter 35 of the manga and Episode 21 of the anime.

Her irises are shaped like crosshairs, an unusual detail that may well be part of the mutation itself rather than a coincidence of design.

The Quirk extends the user's sight far past normal limits, resolving distant people and objects with full clarity instead of merely making out shapes. By locking her focus onto one particular point, Mei can see roughly five kilometers out.

There is no charge-up, no cost, and no external component. The ability is passive equipment she carries in her skull, which fits a character whose entire personality is built around gear.

Mei Hatsume is the only known holder, and she puts it to an entirely characteristic use. Rather than treating it as a combat tool, she scans crowds for people worth her attention, above all the potential investors who might bankroll her support items.
