Briareos stood watch over the Bronze Gate of Tartarus, the prison's mainland entrance, alongside his brother Gyges. Ten arms and a minigun were not enough when Near High-End Nomu arrived during the Paranormal Liberation War, and he died holding the position.
Ten arms branched from his frame, and his gear was built around them, with plating fitted over the shoulders of most. A helmet swallowed his face entirely, leaving nothing of it visible, and the rest of the armor ran red.
Records of what he was like are thin. What the account does show is a man who held his post against a Tomura Shigaraki piloted by All For One and kept fighting until it killed him, which speaks to a firm sense of duty.
He and Gyges drew guard duty on the Bronze Gate, the mainland approach to Tartarus. Word of the fighting against the Paranormal Liberation Front reached them as a string of losses, with heroes dead in large numbers, villains loose, and Tomura plus seven Near High-End Nomu among the escapees. Then several of those Nomu landed in front of the gate itself.
Briareos reacted at once, turning the prison's security robots loose on the attackers while he and his brother worked their miniguns. Spikes fired from the body of one Nomu answered that, and the volley killed him.
His Quirk was never named. It seemed to account for the ten arms, though whether they retracted or were simply part of him is unrecorded, and it granted both the versatility of many hands and the strength to handle weapons as heavy as those miniguns. His name comes out of Greek myth, where Briareos is one of the three Hecatoncheires giants set to guard the gates of Tartarus.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Briareos was a Tartarus prison guard in My Hero Academia who, alongside his brother Gyges, defended the Bronze Gate, the prison's mainland entrance. He died holding that post against a Near High-End Nomu during the Paranormal Liberation War.
Briareos's Quirk was never named, but it appeared to grant him ten arms along with the strength to wield heavy weapons like his minigun. It gave him both versatility and firepower while guarding Tartarus.
Briareos dies defending the Bronze Gate of Tartarus when Near High-End Nomu, freed during the Paranormal Liberation War, attack the position. He and his brother Gyges fight back with security robots and miniguns, but spikes fired from one of the Nomu kill him.
Briareos's name is drawn from Greek mythology, where he is one of the three Hecatoncheires, giants with a hundred arms set to guard the gates of Tartarus. The My Hero Academia character mirrors that role as a guard stationed at the prison's Bronze Gate.
Briareos's brother is Gyges, who guards the Bronze Gate of Tartarus alongside him. The two fight together against the Near High-End Nomu that attack their post during the Paranormal Liberation War.
