Standardized manufacturing, the kind the industrial revolution made normal, stopped serving a population whose bodies Quirks had begun to alter dramatically. Detnerat grew in that gap by making goods matched to each individual customer rather than to an average one, and by guaranteeing a closely adapted product within three days.

Those methods and the systems behind them carried the firm to the front of the lifestyle support field. Its president and chief executive, Rikiya Yotsubashi, has since moved it toward the hero support industry as well.

The push into hero support comes with a quiet strategy. Prototypes are leaked into the black market on purpose, each one designed to gather data and then destroy itself so that nothing traces back to the company.

The Meta Liberation Army answers to Rikiya as its Grand Commander, a fact held inside his narrow circle of allies, and the company's workshop has armed that movement. The Curious Flattener, a chain ring that unfolds into a box-shaped weapon, brings Chitose Kizuki's Landmine down to close range. Koku Hanabata's Incite carries further thanks to Sevens Loud, a mask built to push the volume of his voice up. A proprietary communications network paired with micro transceivers gives Tomoyasu Chikazoku command over the puppets his Anthropomorph ability produces. Claustro is the wearable armor that magnifies Rikiya's own Stress. The catalog reaches past the army as well: gauntlets from the same firm turned the Cider House leader's unnamed seltzer water Quirk into several pressurized jets.

Rikiya's arrest in the Paranormal Liberation War left the company's condition unknown.

Rikiya Yotsubashi sits at the top as president and CEO, and is the only figure whose double life the company's inner circle knows about. Miyashita is a former employee.

The branding was deliberate. In an interview with the Honyasan App, the series editor Yoritomi explained that rats supply the company's motif, tied to a theory inside the story that Quirks first spread through a virus rodents were carrying, and that the name is the word "talented" reversed, with the l swapped for an r so that "rat" falls out of it. The intent was to make the tie to a movement demanding unrestricted Quirk use more obvious. The word carries a second sense that fits Re-Destro's private dealings just as well, since a rat is also someone who informs on others for personal gain.
