Scar tissue carves across the left half of his face, a parting gift from Water Hose in the moments before he killed them. The ruined eye is gone, replaced out of a small stash of prosthetics he keeps in his left pocket, each uniquely designed, picked to suit his mood. A smaller mark sits on the right of his forehead. Everything below the neck is bulk, and his features nearly vanish into it: sandy blond hair cropped into short spikes, black eyes reduced to pinpricks. Tartarus grew his hair out and put stubble on his chin, and for the rematch with Izuku he grinds a chunk of stone into shape and wedges it into the empty socket.

He fights in a black hooded cloak thrown over a red tank top, with a dark jacket knotted at the waist, dark green trousers, and knee-high black boots. A white hockey mask perforated with holes hides his face when he wants to move unrecognized.

Cruelty is the whole of him. He states plainly that Muscle Augmentation exists so he can kill as freely as he likes, and he savors the process, goading his victims with demands to see their blood.

Unlike most of his Vanguard Action Squad colleagues, he did not sign on to the League of Villains for Stain's creed; he came because it let him off the leash. Even so, he keeps a code of sorts. Promises mean nothing to him unless the speaker delivers, and right and wrong come down to who accomplishes what they set out to do. He framed Water Hose as a contest of intentions, his to kill against theirs to stop him, and since he won, he was right and they were not. Losing the eye was simply their intent registering, so he carries no grudge, and he even praised the pair to Kota Izumi, their son.

Arrogance is the crack that eventually broke him. Certain his augmentation outclassed Izuku's, he spent their first fight toying rather than finishing, and let Kota pull his focus twice, costing him a full-power smash on each occasion. He does give credit where earned, dropping the act once Izuku landed one of those hits, though the taunting never stopped, and by the rematch that had curdled into a warped sort of respect. Weaker opposition bores him, as Grand and the Ketsubutsu Academy students discovered, and he lost patience when Izuku hid behind Smokescreen. He has no goal past the rampage itself: wring every day dry, spill everything he can, and die with nothing to regret.

Muscular ranks among the deadliest figures in the Vanguard Action Squad, able to run down and kill capable opponents alone, Water Hose being the clearest proof. Multiplying his brawn and pouring it into plain melee, he closes distance in a blur and lands reinforced blows, which is what got him tagged The Carnal Murderer.

Muscle Augmentation swells and steers his muscle layers until they burst past the skin, raising strength, speed, and durability to a tier roughly comparable with One For All. Rock shatters under him even while he holds back, a casual kick sends Izuku flying, he killed Tartarus guards with single punches, and he brought down buildings by ramming or leaping through them. The bulk hides real speed, since the added mass in his legs launches him fast enough that Izuku judged fleeing with Kota impossible. He can also wrap himself in the fibers as armor, more than twelve thousand layers deep, blunting impact and vibration alike, though enough punishment drains them and leaves him badly weakened.

Through the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion he overpowered Izuku repeatedly. A Detroit Smash at the full hundred percent, the equal of All Might's output, left him essentially untouched, costing him only his tank top and one prosthetic eye, after which he admitted he had been holding back and got serious. At that level he nearly killed Izuku even through a second full-power smash, and only Kota's intervention, which inspired Izuku past a hundred percent into the 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash, ended it. Contending that far puts his ceiling in All Might's neighborhood.

Tomura Shigaraki and All For One broke him out of Tartarus, after which he tore through everything in reach until Grand and Turtle Neck crossed his path, and he shrugged off Tremoring Earth fired at point-blank range. Deku's arrival cut the carnage short, and this time the fight ran the other way: Deku's expanded roster of Quirks kept him from landing anything, and as the clash peaked his tendons unraveled under Grand's maximum-output vibrations, leaving him weak enough, even after hoisting and hurling the top of a building, to be put down a second time.
