League of Villains

Known also as the Villain Alliance and shortened to L.O.V., the League gathered criminals whose common thread was hatred of the society heroes had made comfortable. All For One founded the group and steered it from the shadows, grooming Tomura Shigaraki to inherit command. It enters the story in Chapter 11 and Episode 8, striking publicly for the first time at the Unforeseen Simulation Joint.

Its makeup shifted constantly. Early on the roster was padded with expendable street criminals and a single engineered Nomu. Later it drew genuine talent: Dabi, Himiko Toga, Twice, and Mr. Compress, all kept supplied by the broker Giran.

The group no longer exists. With All For One and Tomura both dead after the Final War, its remnants were scattered and jailed.

All Might's rise had ended the villain era and wrecked All For One's body, so the master rebuilt through a proxy. He took in Tenko Shimura, grandson of All Might's own mentor Nana Shimura, and shaped the boy into Tomura Shigaraki, a weapon aimed at his rival's heart. Kurogiri served as minder and warp gate, and Gigantomachia was raised as a loyal enforcer.

The League's opening move was the U.S.J. raid, an attempt to kill All Might in front of his students that collapsed once the pros arrived. A second stumble came in Hosu, where Tomura unleashed Nomu to bury the Hero Killer Stain's reputation and instead handed him a national platform. The backfire paid anyway: Stain's creed drew hidden villains toward the League, and a humbled Tomura, after confronting Izuku Midoriya in a shopping mall, found a conviction of his own. He would destroy not just All Might but the whole structure worshipping him.

What followed was escalation. The Vanguard Action Squad torched a training camp and seized Katsuki Bakugo, who refused to join and blew up Tomura's face for asking. The heroes answered with a counter-raid at Kamino, where All For One surfaced to cover his protege's retreat, fell to All Might's United States of Smash, and was locked away in Tartarus.

The League rebuilt anyway. Himiko infiltrated the Provisional Hero License Exam wearing a stolen face and came away with the drop of Izuku's blood she was sent to collect. A poisonous alliance with the Shie Hassaikai cost Magne her life and Mr. Compress an arm, though Twice and Himiko turned on the yakuza from inside, and the League later ambushed Overhaul's convoy to take his arms and his Quirk-erasing bullets. Gigantomachia and intelligent Nomu like High-End padded the ranks.

Deika City marked the turning point. Cornered into a war with the Meta Liberation Army over Giran's abduction, the League watched Himiko and Tomura both awaken new depths to their powers while Twice broke free of the trauma crippling his Quirk. Re-Destro surrendered and pledged his warriors, and the merged organization became the Paranormal Liberation Front.

Long after the war ends, Spinner writes a book about the group so the heroes can never bury its memory. Mr. Compress reads it in his cell, smiling.

All For One founded the League and commanded it until his capture, having ruled Japan's underworld for decades beforehand. Tomura Shigaraki succeeded him and grew from a petulant destroyer into a leader others followed by choice. Kurogiri, his warping second, was eventually taken into custody. All three are dead by the story's end.

The core ranks included Dabi, Himiko Toga, Twice, Spinner, Mr. Compress, and Magne, who died at Overhaul's hands. Muscular, Moonfish, and Mustard filled out the Vanguard Action Squad under Dabi's command. Gigantomachia joined as an unstoppable bodyguard, and engineered Nomu such as High-End served as manufactured muscle.

Several figures orbited the League without joining outright. Giran brokered its recruits, Hawks infiltrated it as a double agent, and Yuga Aoyama fed All For One information from inside U.A. Nine served as a test subject, and Haruaki Sun-Sun kept the orphanage tied to the group.
