Keigo Takami

Small black triangles under the tear ducts and in the upper corners lend Keigo's golden-brown eyes an unmistakably birdlike cast. He is average height, slim and narrow, with ash blond hair swept back in feathery disorder, thick eyebrows of the same texture, faint stubble, and a square piercing in each ear normally buried under his headphones. Fierce Wings gave him a spread of huge scarlet wings that generally rise past his head when folded.

The costume reads as an aviator's: a black shirt patterned in wavy gold, a modified tan jacket lined with shearling, collared high and slit at the shoulders for the wings, black gloves, and a rounded yellow visor, rendered blue in the manga, that guards against UV above the clouds and grit at speed.

Dabi's Blueflame burned his wings to stubs during the Paranormal Liberation War. Recovery meant a respirator and a phone app speaking for him until his voice returned. He came back to work with short hair, a jagged scar running cheek to neck, and heavy scarring across his back. Recovery Girl's Heal could not rebuild the wings, so the Final War found him on prosthetics chasing his old speed and carrying katana in place of burnt feather blades. All For One took the Quirk outright, and Himiko Toga's Doubles later opened a long knife wound down his chest and face. Afterward he wears business suits with a katana still slung behind him.

The grin is a tool. Keigo is sharp emotionally and logistically, and the constant watchfulness hides beneath a calm that passes for carefree. He takes Hero Public Safety Commission orders without visible hesitation and with quiet cynicism, dislikes formality, and comes off cocky and taunting, which costs him nothing, since status means little to him. He argues that a hero belongs to be measured by public approval, because the job is putting citizens at ease, and claims he cannot manage it. He would rather rank low for the freedom, yet he is ferocious about the work.

Total command of his own face makes him a formidable liar, a skill he claims to hate because lying is too much effort. It walked him inside the Paranormal Liberation Front, and one small break in his ease told Endeavor who was leading the group and what it wanted. He traced One For All back to All Might and to Izuku Midoriya, and reasoned that All For One could not take that Quirk, lacking the hatred it demands. Under the indifference is a good heart: he saved every witness to the High-End attack, and blamed himself for Endeavor's scar, since he had steered that fight into a contained area to hold casualties down. He told Fumikage Tokoyami to sharpen what he already had rather than chase his gaps, advice that eventually gave the student flight of his own.

His father, Takami, locked him indoors so nobody could trace the boy back to him, beat him, and told him he should never have been born, leaving Keigo convinced the heroes on television were fictional. Endeavor's arrest of the man proved otherwise. Thrown onto the street with his mother, Tomie, who asked aloud what his wings were even for, he could have picked pockets easily and could not do it. He intervened in a high-speed pileup instead, drew the Commission's attention, and lifted them both out of poverty. Taken in as Lady Nagant's intended replacement and run through a brutal double-agent regimen, he emerged still optimistic, and kept looking up to Endeavor even after Dabi broadcast the man's abuse. He believed Lady Nagant still carried a hero's heart, and built a real friendship with Jin Bubaigawara while undercover, then regretted exploiting it. After the Final War he accepted losing his Quirk, took over the Commission as its president, pardoned Lady Nagant, and reworked the rankings to credit everyone who fought rather than heroes alone, a bet that had paid off eight years later.

Fierce Wings gave Keigo flight and telekinetic control of every feather: hardening them into blades, firing them like projectiles, dictating speed and path. One feather carries a rock or a person, more carry heavier loads, and through them he reads air vibrations much like echolocation to place people around him. Shedding feathers shrinks the wings and degrades his flight; a stripped set needs at least two days to reach halfway back. He could evacuate a collapsing building's occupants, as he admitted, but never hold the building up. Fire is the Quirk's true enemy, since burnt feathers cripple him.

He hit the top ten at eighteen and No. 3 within four years, then No. 2 once All Might retired, the youngest and quickest climb the country had seen. Speed, not muscle, is his edge, and he covers the power gap by turning plumes into blades or firing smaller ones like daggers. As a child he pulled multiple people out of a 130 km/h pileup. He ends ordinary fights so fast his sidekicks exist to tidy up behind him. During the High-End attack he cleared 76 people from a collapsing skyscraper before joining Endeavor, and matched a Nomu that had outrun the Flame Hero entirely.

His analysis is worth as much as the wings. He deduced that Nomu were stashed beyond the Kamino factory, read a wrecked convoy's container as a life support pod built for Nine, and fooled the Front's surveillance without dropping his cover. Crippled wings did not keep him out of the Final War, where he came near a killing blow with Fumikage's help before All For One, rewound toward his prime, beat him down and stole Fierce Wings along with all his speed. Even then his Quirk Factor took shape in the vestige realm and rallied the others against the villain, costing him control during the last clash with Dynamight.
