Aqua eyes, heavily lashed above and pronounced below, sit in a round, pale face. Wavy blonde hair runs to the middle of her back, with two shorter lengths left forward over her shoulders and bangs swept to one side. She stands a little taller than average.

The I-Island Academy uniform accounts for most of her appearances: a short-sleeved white shirt whose cuffs are plaid, a large bow of that same pattern at her throat, a waistcoat in dark raspberry pink, pale gray capris, pink plaid socks, and brown heeled boots, finished with a wristwatch and oval-framed pink glasses.

Formal wear replaces all of it. The gown is strapless with a sweetheart neckline, deep blue above and powder blue below, divided by a black cloth belt carrying a large white rose set slightly to her left, its ruffled hem matching the black beneath her knee-length skirt. The glasses come off, gold ovals hang from her earlobes, and her hair goes up in a high ponytail tied with a black bow under a red headband, the face-framing strands left loose. White sandals finish it, heeled, their straps crossing over, and her nails and lips are painted coral pink.

Eight years past the Final War, she tends to bundle her hair up into a large, messy bow.

Warm, upbeat, and formidably bright, Melissa wants to be a hero and refuses to let being Quirkless settle the question. All Might has her admiration; her father has more of it, and she has taken his path, reasoning that studying hard and building new inventions is how the two of them fight for peace at one remove.

She is sociable enough to befriend most of Class 1-A on sight, guiding them through the I-Expo and everything in it, and grew closest to Izuku Midoriya. Once the scars on his hand told her what his Quirk was doing to his body, she gave him her Full Gauntlet without hesitation.

Scientific curiosity overrides her sense of personal space, as Izuku discovered when she moved in to examine his costume. She is humble about her creations and wants them put to use, while remaining openly proud of her father, whom she surprised with an All Might invitation to the I-Expo. Learning that David had arranged the villain attack to recover his Quirk Amplification Device devastated her, and she said so, pointing at the harm done to Izuku and his friends while they tried to save everyone, though her father genuinely believed the villains he hired were fakes.

Under pressure she holds. During the assault on the I-Expo she was central to breaking Wolfram's hold on the island's population, and she risked her life tackling Swordkil to stop the villain forcing Izuku off the central tower.

Intelligence is the engine. A student at the prestigious I-Island Academy and the daughter of a renowned professor, Melissa reads a situation fast: she correctly judged that Izuku's power exceeded his body's tolerance after seeing his scars and noticing him hold back during the Villain Attack attraction, and she recognized that a lockdown was the wrong protocol for detected explosives. She also knew where and how to cut I-Island's security, at the top of the tower.

As an inventor she is largely self-directed. The Full Gauntlet came out of her own research, built after All Might's raw power convinced her a support item ought to be able to withstand it, and rated to take three of his strikes. It let Izuku run Full Cowl with far less risk of injuring himself and even reach a hundred percent, and it only broke when he and All Might both pushed past their limits against Wolfram, which was itself a testament to its maker.

The Armored All Might is the larger achievement, designed on All Might's own specs so that it reads as the man from a distance, packed with devices drawing on Class 1-A's Quirks, and capable of trading blows with All For One. That same body of knowledge later yielded Izuku a new power suit after he lost his Quirk. Her equipment also includes an advanced pogo stick, roughly her own height, that retracts into a small box.

Courage rounds it out. She joined the U.A. students against the villains with no Quirk and no illusions about the danger, and she tackled a man whose Quirk is a blade.

She stands alone among Quirkless characters as someone both born that way naturally and never handed a power through artificial means. She won first prize at the GSSA competition and took home a trophy from the Australian Schools Science Competition, and she calls All Might "Uncle Might" thanks to his closeness with her father.
