Tall and thickly built, with old scars around his lower arms, Mirio is drawn simply on purpose: beady blue eyes with no sclera showing, a rounded nose, and blond hair worn in a quiff up top and swept back below. He wore a ponytail before joining The Big 3, and cut it off so his hair could be spun into fibers for a costume that phases when he does.

That costume stamps 1000000 across his chest in bold yellow on a white top, over baggy dark blue pants, knee-high white boots soled in yellow, red gloves, and a red cape. A yellow-lensed visor completes it in theory, though it slides off the instant his Quirk activates, so he seldom bothers.

The epilogue version is a different silhouette: the sides of his head shaved, the rest coiled into an absurdly long spiraling pompadour, the suit now dark blue behind a white chest plate.

He comes across as an oaf. Loud, cheerful, and permanently smiling, he leaves people wondering how he topped the school's rankings. Sir Nighteye read that same disposition as the thing that could make him the next Symbol of Peace.

His comedy is bad and he does not care. None of it dulls him: he ground an almost unusable ability into one of the most formidable Quirks in the world. The origin is simple: he fell into a river as a small boy and a Pro Hero pulled him out. Knowing he cannot save everyone, he settled on a million as the target and named himself after it. He is also fearless in a way that unsettles people, charging ahead of the raid force to take on four of the yakuza alone.

The measure of him is Eri. Letting her walk away with Overhaul was correct by protocol, and it ate at him once he understood what she was enduring. He let his Quirk be destroyed rather than let her be hit, knowing what it would cost his career, and kept fighting without it until Shin Nemoto questioned whether he was human. Down a Quirk and a mentor, he stayed himself and turned down Izuku's offer of One For All.

Facing the completed Tomura Shigaraki, he argued with the villain's nihilism, telling him a man with friends would know some things must never be broken. The line stung Tenko awake inside the merged body, revealing that the fusion with All For One was incomplete.

Permeation makes him intangible, letting him drop through walls and floors while attacks pass through harmlessly. The costs are strict. He still has mass, so he falls, and air, sound, and light all pass straight through him, leaving him blind, deaf, and unable to breathe while it runs. One foot has to stay solid or he sinks into the ground. Because matter cannot overlap, resolidifying inside something ejects him outward, and by adjusting his posture he picks the direction. He only mastered it under Nighteye.

Trained, he was reckoned his school's strongest student and led the Big Three alongside Tamaki Amajiki and Nejire Hado, discussed as a possible One For All successor. He beat eighteen of Class 1-A's twenty students in seconds with one gut punch each. Technique is the core of it: precise control over when and where the Quirk is active makes guarding against him nearly impossible.

The raid remains his showcase. He absorbed Shin's guerrilla tactics and Deidoro Sakaki's balance sabotage, put both down, and overpowered Chronostasis and Overhaul two-on-one while shielding Eri, until Overhaul spent one of his few Quirk-Destroying Bullets to level the field. Shin had aimed it at Eri precisely so Mirio would take the hit for her. Quirkless and broken, he held out for five unbroken minutes before being pinned. Six months later, his Quirk restored, he swatted four Near High-Ends away from Best Jeanist.

His named moves are few. Blinder Touch Eyeball Crush fakes an eye poke with an intangible arm and lands a real hit to the stomach. Phantom Menace chains the ejection effect through surface after surface, firing him around at speed to strike from any direction. His gear is the Lemilliosuit, lined with fibers from his own hair so it phases with him instead of leaving him naked.
