Ordinary Woman

Green fur covers most of her, broken by a white underbelly, and her face runs to a fox's shape with pointed ears standing up through blonde hair that stops at her shoulders. One loose strand hangs down past her cheek on the right. Her eyes are wide and blue under thick lashes. She stands somewhere in the range of 260 to 300 centimeters, a figure with real curve to it, and the exact height wanders from panel to panel by the author's own admission.

Her clothes lean warm and simple: an orange button-up with pockets at the chest, black trousers held by a belt in the same yellow-orange as the buttons, matching wristbands on both arms, and slip-on shoes in orange and cream. The band across her head reads almost like a pair of earmuffs.

Fear drives most of what she does on the page, and it is earned. She wants nothing more complicated than for Japan to go back to normal, and she says so plainly when asked. Being mistaken for a villain and shot at by her own neighbors leaves her rattled rather than bitter.

What wears her down is the string of shelters that turn her away over her Mutant Quirk, one refusal after another. Even so, her reunion with Izuku produces no resentment at all. She is simply delighted to see him, and she thanks him through tears for what he did.

When the war ended, casualties in her city stayed light at first, so she stayed home and hoped the disorder would burn itself out. Once people around her started getting hurt she left to find a shelter, and on a stormy night three civilians armed with support items came at her, convinced she was a villain. Her protests that she had done nothing and was only frightened did not land; they read the pleading as a trick to make them drop their guard. One of them fired an arm cannon at her, and Deku deflected the shot. He tried to talk the group down, telling them nerves were running high in the storm and that she posed no danger, and they scattered while still insisting she had brought it on herself by being out at night looking the way she looks.

She apologized to him for evacuating too slowly. He Floated up to her height, handed her an umbrella, and told her that everyone else was scared too. When she asked whether things would ever go back to how they were, he answered that he would make sure of it. All Might arrived in the Hercules as Deku was leaving, and Deku asked him to get her to a shelter, leaving her bewildered at the sight of him.

Shelter after shelter refused her because of her Quirk until U.A. High School let her in. She was there when Izuku came back to the school through a crowd protesting his return, and she recognized him as the boy who had saved her. After Ochaco Uraraka's speech and Izuku's collapse into tears, she ran to him alongside Kota Izumi, lifted him up, and told him that being turned away everywhere else was worth it because it meant seeing him again. The two of them held him and comforted him, both having been on the receiving end of his rescues. Once the crowd relented, she watched him walk in among his classmates.

Before the Final War, she was among the refugees who brought Mezo Shoji word of Spinner's call to action, with the heteromorph army massing to storm Central Hospital as payback for years of discrimination. That warning pushed Mezo and Koji Koda to ask Eraser Head and All Might for spots on the hospital's defense, a request that was granted. She shook Mezo's hand in farewell as Class 1-A left U.A. She was still sheltering at the school when the Gollini Family's fortress attacked it, and she stood with Kota in the cheering crowd once the heroes brought it down.
