Appearance

Three thick bangs fall across Shino's face, burgundy red above brown eyes, and she paints red strokes under each eye that read as whiskers. Her costume is the Pussycats' team design rendered in red; the redesign the group adopts after the Final War gives the paw gloves brown pads across the palms. Out of costume she dresses far more conservatively than the job implies, in a loose-collared turtleneck, a skirt to the knee, dark leggings and heels.

Personality

Set beside Pixie-Bob's volume, Shino reads as the calm one, gentle where her partner is loud, though nobody should mistake that for ordinary; she is no less eccentric or demanding than anyone else on the team. Concern for other people is her default setting, extended to Kota and to the U.A. students without much distinction, and it does not stop her enjoying herself at their expense, whether that means needling Class 1-A about how long they would take to cross Beast's Forest or pointing out that her nephew's shoes match Izuku's.

She was a heavy introvert through her college years until Pixie-Bob and the others pulled her out of it. Her official profile reduces her personality to a single line, that she loves her cousin's kid, and she likes a nap. The manga makes Kota her nephew, with Water Hose her sibling and sibling-in-law; the anime shifts the relation, making Water Hose her cousin and Kota a first cousin once removed. Years later she also becomes Eri's foster mother.

Abilities

Telepath pushes messages straight into other minds, dozens of them at once if she needs the range, and the limitation is that the channel runs one way only; nothing comes back to her. She has turned even that into an offensive tool, dropping a flirtatious line into Spinner's head mid-fight purely to buy the half second she needed to land a hit.

That fight is the best measure of her. She matched the League's Spinner outright, slipping the swings of his oversized improvised blade while striking back, and eventually pinned and arrested him, only for Kurogiri to warp him and Magne clear. Agility carries most of it, appropriately enough for the theme. Her gloves work like real paws, claws included, for tearing and slashing, while the cat-ear headphones keep the Pussycats talking to one another. Cat Claw is her listed ultimate move.
