Appearance

Full lips and a lean build defined him, along with an undercut shaved from the nape of his neck up to the forehead, the surviving hair combed over to the right. A long scar ran out of his left eyebrow and stopped partway down that cheek, and his right eye had no pupil at all.

The costume was a blue bodysuit, pale across the top half and deeper below, its sleeves broken up by a dark blue section carrying three yellow stripes. A wider band in the same blue crossed his head and covered the right eye. A red cape hung from his shoulders until Tomura Shigaraki took it for himself. At some point before the Paranormal Liberation War, a pale lens appeared over his right eye, apparently fitted to help him work his Quirk.

Personality

Caution is the trait the story bothers to record. Finding an unfamiliar machine still humming inside the Villains' lair, he chose to wreck it rather than walk past something he could not account for, and only then continued with the mission he had been given.

History

The Kamino Incident put him on the Hideout Raid Team, among the Heroes who moved against the League of Villains.

Years later he took part in the assault on Jaku General Hospital and ran into several High-End Nomu on the way through. He and Present Mic pushed as far as the operating room holding Tomura, who lay suspended in something close to death after the procedure was interrupted. Present Mic handed X-Less the job of disposing of Tomura while he dealt with Kyudai Garaki. That is when X-Less spotted a machine still running because the tubes around it had absorbed the damage, and he destroyed it on principle despite having no idea what it did.

A severed wire dropped into the pool of fluid sustaining Tomura and electrified it, dragging him back from the brink. X-Less froze as Tomura woke complaining of the cold, and the hero was lining up a beam from his right eye, the whole of his Laser Quirk, when Tomura closed a hand around his head and killed him with Decay, then claimed his cape. The gamble paid off anyway. The machine had been manufacturing the Quirk-Destroying Drug, and its loss wasted nearly the entire supply, leaving Tomura only a few doses he managed to salvage.
