Yosetsu Awase

Long black hair spikes upward and back toward his left, held out of rounded gray eyes that tilt inward by a broad headband patterned in blue and white zig-zags, pulled low across the forehead. He stands 172 centimeters.

His hero costume is a baggy burgundy full-body suit with a collar climbing past his chin. Around it go dark brown shoulder pads, chest armor in three layers that comes up over his face, knee-high white boots accented brown, black wrist guards, and two blue belt bags stocked with wood and metal blocks that feed his Quirk. On the job the zig-zag headband gets swapped for a striped one. Eight years on from the Final War he wears the hair in a mohawk, has traded the headband for a helmet with what look like eye-holes, carries three containers on the left of his belt, and wears wrist guards in a lighter brown.

He keeps to himself more than most, swears freely, and stays wound tight, and the pattern inverts under real pressure, where he startles easily and turns much more talkative, still coarse about it.

Selflessness is the load-bearing trait. He hauled Momo Yaoyorozu along while the Chainsaw Nomu gained on him and would not consider leaving her, and he will put himself in danger to make a plan work even while visibly afraid. He never took the two hero classes' rivalry seriously, which is why he was happy to put Neito Monoma down on Itsuka Kendo's behalf while she was busy elsewhere, and then apologize to Izuku Midoriya and Mirio Togata for it. He is also said to be proud of the Quirk and sure of his own abilities.

Weld bonds objects at the atomic level, provided he is touching both, and it works on organic and inorganic material alike. It restrains far better than it hurts, letting him harmlessly stick an enemy to whatever structure is nearby, and it will fuse his own body to another person's, which makes carrying someone who cannot move considerably easier. Construction-Done-Kwik: Weldcraft is the finisher, lashing a target to a structure by running metallic logs between them; it held Katsuki at the Joint Training Battle until Rikido Sato's Sugar Rush broke it apart.

Steel logs come built into his costume so he can bridge two targets without touching both at once, fusing one end to each. He also carries shields that attach to his body as improvised armor. Stealth rounds out the kit, and pairing it with his Quirk is how he discreetly tagged the Chainsaw Nomu with Momo's tracking device and how he ambushed and restrained Katsuki, one of Class 1-A's heaviest hitters. Placing tenth at the U.A. Entrance Exam, built on the third-highest villain point total, was the first sign of that competence.
