Long Time No See, Selkie

As the boys wrap their first day under Endeavor, Izuku wonders how Ochaco is faring. At Ryukyu's agency she is showing off a redesigned costume to Ryukyu, Tsuyu, Nejire, and the sidekicks, deflecting Nejire's question about her reasons with a blush, since the honest answer involves grabbing hold of an out-of-control Izuku during Joint Training. A small welcome party follows. The next morning the news reports a forest fire in Kaflin traced to an illegal Trigger factory, and one sidekick points out that the chemicals are missing from the wreckage, suggesting the blast was cover for moving them.

Out on the Pacific, the Oki Mariner Crew tails a suspicious vessel until a crew member doses himself with Trigger and lays down a smokescreen. Sirius suspects the ship has gone to ground in the Verize Islands, and given Trigger in enemy hands and difficult waters, Selkie arranges to work with Ryukyu's team. When the heroes arrive, Selkie sends everyone to the beach first, explaining to Ryukyu that morale matters and that smugglers will not move before dark anyway. He is right; the crew waits in a cave and sets out at sunset.

Uravity and Froppy board the Oki Mariner; overhead, Ryukyu and Nejire Chan take the sky. Selkie tracks the boat underwater with echolocation and relays the position in morse to Sirius. Spotted, the smugglers throw up another smokescreen, which lets Selkie and Froppy board and take the ship. Then a stowed cargo plane carrying the chemicals lifts off. Froppy's tongue falls short, Ryukyu cannot match its speed, and Sirius fires a harpoon carrying a weightless Uravity after it. Aboard, Uravity thinks about not rushing in blindly and drops the smuggler with Gravity Plus, but a stalling propeller leaves her unable to steer, and she refuses to bail while the cargo would spill into the sea. Ryukyu's tornados speed Nejire Chan forward, her wave slows the plane, and Uravity's Quirk halts it long enough for Ryukyu to land it safely. Debriefing on the beach, Selkie explains the smugglers were couriers who knew nothing, hired under a false name, bound for the European nation of Otheon. In a cathedral, a man hears of the interception and decides it does not matter, since enough has already been gathered for the salvation of humanity.

Ochaco debuts an upgraded hero costume, including a grappling hook device, motivated by her failure to hold on during the Joint Training match. Ryukyu's agency teams up with Selkie's Oki Mariner Crew to intercept smugglers moving chemicals recovered from a destroyed Trigger factory.

Uravity boards and disables the escaping cargo plane, then combines her Zero Gravity with Nejire's wave and Ryukyu's flight to stop it in midair and land it intact, pushing herself past her limit in the process. The chemicals are confirmed as drug material.

The captured smugglers turn out to be ignorant couriers hired under a fake name, with the shipment bound for Otheon. In the closing scene, Flect Turn learns of the loss and dismisses it, since his group already holds the quantity their plan requires. This sets up the events of My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission.

Broadcast in Japan on July 17, 2021, with the dub on July 31. The episode carries no chapter adaptation credit and consists wholly of original material, serving as a lead-in to the film My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission. Merry-Go-Round and Believe remain the themes.

Ochaco's grappling hook arrives much earlier here than in the source, where the device does not turn up until the Paranormal Liberation War Arc begins.

Outside of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, this marks the first occasion the Quirk-boosting drug is named as Trigger. The featured battle is Ryukyu's agency and the Oki Mariner Crew against the smugglers.
