Revival Party

When superpowers first appeared and the world came apart, a belief spread among the newly gifted that abilities should be used rather than buried. Destro gathered the believers into the Meta Liberation Army, which the government crushed within a few years. Imprisoned, he wrote the Meta Liberation War and then took his own life, never knowing he had fathered a son. Generations later, Rikiya Yotsubashi hears that his people have found a lead on the League of Villains and declares that if the state will not act, the Army will.

The League reach Deika City with roughly a hundred minutes before Gigantomachia stirs. Slidin' Go escorts them in. Trumpet greets them in an emptied city and announces that ninety percent of the residents serve as liberation warriors, with the League invited as guests of honor. The attack begins. Tomura decays his way toward the tower, dismissing Trumpet as a miniboss. Himiko is separated when the ground beneath her detonates, and a reporter named Curious asks her for an interview. In the tower, Giran needles Re-Destro about Nomu reinforcements, and Re-Destro coolly reasons that without All For One the League has no supply and amounts to a club of hoodlums.

Curious explains that her Landmine ability makes a bomb of whatever she lays a hand on, and that includes her own warriors, who blow themselves apart alongside the blood Himiko has ingested. She recites Himiko's history aloud while she works: eldest Toga daughter, missing since middle school graduation, the classmate she cut and drank from, the parents on television calling her a demon. Cornered and bleeding internally, Himiko finally answers, asking what a normal life even is and saying she loves the world the Army wants because she could have her normal in it. Curious calls her the product of hero society, a girl who put on a mask because her nature and her longing could never be accepted. Himiko drinks the last blood she carries, Ochaco's, and finds Transform has given her more than a face: she can use Zero Gravity. She lifts Curious and every warrior around her into the sky, declares she will love and live and die normally, and drops them all. She staggers into a shed and passes out. Elsewhere Dabi is drawn into a duel with Geten, an ice user of enormous scale, while Skeptic watches Twice find Himiko's body and sends puppets wearing Twice's own face to take him.

The Army's founding is laid out: Destro assembled it in the chaotic early days of Quirks, the government dismantled it, and he wrote the Meta Liberation War in prison before killing himself, unaware he had a son. Rikiya Yotsubashi inherits the cause as Re-Destro.

The Revival Celebration begins with the League ambushed in Deika City, where the population is overwhelmingly composed of liberation warriors. Himiko Toga defeats Chitose Kizuki and her squad after discovering that her Transform grants access to the copied person's Quirk, using Ochaco Uraraka's Zero Gravity to lift and drop them. Curious dies in the process.

Tomura's Decay demonstrates unexpected growth, spreading to warriors he never touched. Dabi's fight with Geten begins, and Skeptic corners Twice with Anthropomorph puppets bearing his face, intending to force him into the Army so his Double can revive Re-Destro if needed.

Drawn from portions of six chapters, aired in Japan on August 28, 2021, and dubbed on September 11. Merry-Go-Round and Believe remain the themes.

Izuku narrates a new opening covering Destro and the Army's origins, including original footage of Destro leading it. Cut material includes the Detnerat commercial and the following Re-Destro and Miyashita scene, discussion of black market support items at the leaders' reunion, Re-Destro's conversation with the captured Giran, Twice attacking Dabi with his measuring tape, Spinner asking how long remains before Gigantomachia wakes, Curious' dialogue on Quirk counseling, Re-Destro mourning Curious, Skeptic explaining the cameras to Giran, and Trumpet using Incite on the crowd.

Two changes alter the violence. Curious' bombed subordinates die here where the source only wounds them, and the deaths of Curious and her comrades are shot to avoid showing the bodies land, with only blood on screen. The news report also names Himiko's family surname, which the source censors.
