Summary

Koichi, posing as Pop☆Step's manager, joins Kazuho at the Marukane Department Store for the first planning session of Narufest. Makoto introduces them to Miu and Yu, the twin idol duo Feathers, who immediately begin sniping under their breath about Kazuho turning up in street clothes, which does her stage nerves no favors. The dance squad from East Naruhata High arrives without their costume paperwork, their captain insisting outfits would only hamper their technique. Outside, the Mad Hatters are arguing, their frontman whining that a gig this small is beneath his band. The captain storms in ready to tear into him, they look at each other, and both are instantly finished: he calms down and she reverses her whole position on pretty costumes.

Makoto lays out the stage plan. Feathers refuse to be positioned behind Pop as her backing dancers and call her singing mediocre, which Makoto concedes while noting that Pop's presence and crowd draw are worth building around. She assigns Pop a week of solo practice and puts Feathers under the dance captain. Elsewhere, Captain Celebrity flattens a colossal larva in one shot and plugs the festival while his entourage scatters flyers. The training week ends with Miu spraining her ankle, healed in time but unable to move much on stage. Facing either sidelining her or benching Pop, Kazuho proposes centering Miu instead, with Yu doubling the movement and Pop leaping in during transitions. Miu tears up. Koichi then compliments the captain's new short hair so clumsily that the entire room turns on him.

That night Kuin studies a flyer, notes the promised hero appearances, and decides the event needs a villain. In a garage sits Teruo, transformed into a vast muscular eel that can only whisper Pop's name. On the day, Present Mic hypes the evening show for the newly named FeatherHATS while Midnight arrives backstage and lists the heroes who declined: Endeavor thinks it is stupid, Ingenium is booked, All Might cannot make it. Eraser Head, on the phone, offers a lukewarm maybe and openly wishes a villain would appear to excuse him, then grins and moves the instant someone screams. He snares Teruo using the Capturing Weapon, finds Erasure changes nothing, and rules out a conditional ability. Mucus lets Teruo slip free and blunts every blow, so Eraser Head nets him against lampposts instead. Teruo breaks loose and floods the district with bio-electricity, his Eel Quirk now upgraded to Electric Eel, blacking out the whole of Naruhata. Kuin is told by her boss to call off her raid and sulks. Then Knuckleduster steps out of the dark, calls her Tamao Oguro, and tells her she is coming home. She drops the act. He swings, misses, then opens her cheek with his off hand. Her bees turn out to be Bomb Bees, and the first detonation is genuinely dangerous while the rest fizzle, which tells him producing them costs her something. She runs. He gives chase across the blacked-out city.

Key Events

Planning for the first Narufest brings together Pop☆Step, the idol duo Feathers, East Naruhata High's Dance Squad, and the Mad Hatters under Makoto Tsukauchi, with the dance captain and the Mad Hatters' leader falling for each other on sight. Miu's sprained ankle forces a restructure, and Kazuho's proposal to center Miu becomes the plan, with the combined act named FeatherHATS.

Kuin Hachisuka transforms Teruo Unagisawa into a gigantic eel monster and turns him loose. Eraser Head engages him, confirms Erasure has no effect on his form, and is overwhelmed when Teruo's upgraded Electric Eel Quirk discharges enough bio-electricity to black out all of Naruhata. Kuin's planned raid on the festival is cancelled on her boss's orders.

Knuckleduster confronts Kuin directly, addressing her as Tamao Oguro and dropping any pretense that she is only the Bee User. He fights her with the Taser Knuckle held in reserve, deliberately avoiding a shock that could stop her heart, and deduces that Bomb Bee production taxes her body and weakens successive bees. Kuin flees and he pursues.

Notes

Adapted from portions of three Vigilantes chapters and broadcast on June 16, 2025, with the dub the same day. Kekka Alright serves as the opening and Speed as the ending. The episode belongs to the Vs. Queen Bee Arc.

The adaptation shows Miu injuring her ankle during training, extends the Knuckleduster and Kuin fight, and drops Makoto's blunt line calling Miu the mean one. Death Arms, present in the green room background of the source, does not appear. Teruo's discharge only takes out the power here, where the original also shows people being electrocuted.

Rikiya Eno, a giant gorilla villain in the source, is swapped for a caterpillar modeled on Mothra's larval form. Mothra belongs to Toho, which co-produces and distributes both My Hero Academia anime series, and the scene restages a famous image from her 1961 debut film.
