Butterfly Effect

Inside Central Hospital, two steps remain for Spinner: locate Kurogiri's room within the research center, then play the device Skeptic gave him, loaded with a recording of Tomura or his master speaking, to rouse the man. He runs ahead while the mob stops cold at the sight of hospital staff linking hands across the corridor. It lands exactly as Tentacole said: the heroes cleared Jaku General's people before engaging, and these rioters have no comparable plan. Weapons start hitting the floor.

Spinner reaches the room thinking about how he was never going to amount to anything until Tomura gave him followers, and turns to show his leader the crowd behind him. Nobody is there. Present Mic is, telling him Tentacole's voice reached them and that Kurogiri will not be his weapon, then flattening him with a shout that mostly reverts his body and fries the tape.

Outside, minutes earlier, an axe swung at Tentacole is caught by a rioter who had already laid his own weapon down indoors. That pig-faced man tells his comrade the anger was aimed the wrong way; Takaie orders him to remember his mistreatment and keep following Spinner. He answers that he does remember, and it still enrages him, but he could not assault people standing together to shield their patients. Tearful, gripping Tentacole's arms, he asks whether taking a stand was wrong. Tentacole, near tears himself, tells him the feelings are legitimate, that the work of liberation is unfinished, and that the light in their eyes should change the minds of those who hurt them rather than be spent on force alone. The mob settles, and Rock Lock's group heads inside to back up Present Mic.

Broken on the floor, Spinner can only dwell on a failed mission and a life that led nowhere despite Stain and Tomura. Present Mic prepares the finishing shout Eraser Head authorized as a last resort, thinking of Oboro Shirakumo and the memories he wants to keep. In the second before it lands, Spinner drags himself up and presses Nana Shimura's burnt hand, the one Tomura used to wear, onto Kurogiri's face; a micro-device planted in it serves as a failsafe. He whispers a last request, that his comrade rescue the League and its leader, and Present Mic's Voice knocks him out. Kurogiri wakes, tears free of his restraints with Oboro's face partly surfacing, and opens a Warp Gate.

Overseas coverage cannot follow the fighting itself, but the weather it causes is reported live. American forecaster Meryl Hope asks whether a society that began with one baby born glowing has spiraled into uncontainable chaos, since one person's actions can change everything, then holds up a "No AFO" banner on air despite her colleagues, stating she opposes bending to the villain. At Kamino, Dabi decides to fly to the Gunga ruins rather than deliver his brother's body, since his own is failing fast, and a sudden portal spares him the trip. On Okuto Island, Himiko smashes a vial that Froppy assumes is blood; it is pheromone bait, and the Near High-End Nomu ambushes her. When the water clears, Froppy is down and Himiko wears her face. A second vial makes her Twice, granting Double and Sad Man's Parade, and "Kurogiri" arrives to ask what she wants. She wants every hero dead, starting with Hawks, and her Doubles scattered everywhere. Uravity chases her, saying they never got to talk about love, and Himiko agrees sadly before vanishing.

Dabi lands above Endeavor while a second portal opens beside Hawks and floods the ruins with Doubles. All For One tells the hero to look behind him: the nightmare of the first war has returned as Sad Man's Death Parade, and it swallows most of the ruins in seconds. Up on the floating campus, "Kurogiri" warps in behind Manual, Phantom Thief and Eraser Head, carrying Present Mic trapped inside his body. Just as Dabi told Himiko when he handed over Twice's blood, the villains are the ones laughing now.

Tentacole's argument dissolves the heteromorph riot and concludes the Central Hospital battle in the heroes' favor.

Spinner's final act wakes Kurogiri using the bugged hand of Nana Shimura, and Present Mic's shout takes him out too late.

Himiko takes Twice's form and unleashes Sad Man's Death Parade, while "Kurogiri" teleports Dabi to Endeavor and swarms the Coffin in the Sky.

Adapted from the back of Chapter 372 through the first half of Chapter 375. Present Mic's pursuit into the hospital is dramatized rather than mentioned offhand, and he walks in slowly before Spinner rises, where the manga has him charging without noticing.

Meryl Hope's introduction is expanded with an anime-original beat of her "No AFO" sign, a shot of Dabi and the heroes reacting to "Kurogiri" is added before the teleport, and Himiko names the attack Sad Man's Death Parade on its first use here, a title the manga withholds until later.
