At Central Hospital, in the aftermath of "Kurogiri's" awakening, wounded heroes and rioters are being brought in while Lady Nagant tries to walk out, a jailbreaker ignoring a doctor's warning that her wounds will tear open. Deku's outreach rekindled the heroic instinct she buried years ago, and she pushes through the pain. Rock Lock tells the doctor to let her go and takes responsibility, handing her a phone with the Operation Troy layout: if her heart says Deku needs her, she has his backing.

In the present, the recoil from her first two shots has already reopened her injuries. Through rain and wind she fires once more, takes off Tomura's other hand, and collapses into her own blood. With Decay unavailable, Deku tackles the villain, binds the stumps with Blackwhip, and plows through the rubble to move the fight off the Coffin and away from his allies.

The All For One vestige rages, calling Lady Nagant a hypocrite, and vomits loose fingers as Tomura calmly narrates the plan he was built for: groomed into a vengeful heir, then hijacked as a vessel to seize One For All. He never wanted it, so he buried his younger self deep as a repellent against the fusion. The vestige calls for a Warp Gate back to his original body, since his grip here is slipping past repair, but "Kurogiri" is losing a mental battle of his own against Oboro. Tomura crawls out from behind the shell of hands that concealed him and declares, both in the vestige realm and aloud in the body he has taken back, that One For All and grand ambitions mean nothing to him; his one hope is to destroy everything connected to his family. He and Deku land in the ruined streets and square off, the boy fully prepared to stop him and equally unwilling to forget the Tenko he saw.

Above, Gently Super-Lover is tearing as Gentle's body reaches its limit, and he holds on with nothing but will, far from the cameras he always craved, refusing to fail Deku. Then he spots Futo and Ronaudo filming him for the Business Course's record of the war; he orders them inside and they refuse, insisting their job is to bridge heroes and the public and to see that everyone gets credit. La Brava, having hacked their phones, congratulates them. Naomasa tells her to fix the levitation system, and she replies it is already done; she is pushing the students' footage into a global livestream because Gentle's effort will not go unwitnessed. U.A. lifts, and the weight eases.

Doubles crowd Present Mic and Eraser Head off the control platform, and a disoriented "Kurogiri" catches and teleports them, which Mandalay reads as a deliberate move to keep Erasure away from Tomura. At the Gunga ruins, force is useless against the clone infestation, and some begin taking the shapes of All For One, Dabi and Tomura without gaining their Quirks. Froppy reasons that Himiko can only borrow the powers of people she deeply loves, as with Twice and Uravity, which caps Double's reach. The three girls go hunting for the real Himiko, both to end the parade and to get ahead of the chance that a violent enough shift in her feelings lifts the restriction. Beneath the swarm, Himiko is unraveling because the Quirks of the two men she cares for stay out of her reach.

All For One keeps flying for Tomura with Hawks chasing and Tsukuyomi behind on Black Fallen Angel; having planned for the merger to fail, he now means to plant his Quirk Factor straight into the boy and shut out any rejection for good. He appears to shred Hawks apart, only for the corpse to start talking like a shojo lead: a Glamour illusion from Illus-o-Camie, who rides in on a Meatball supplied by Shishikross while a second one carries the real Hawks to safety. Shiketsu High was assigned to receive U.A.'s evacuees, never got them thanks to Skeptic, and came to their rivals' battlefield instead. With that backup the Doubles become manageable. All For One answers with a pulsating sphere of combined Quirks that pins the field, and Gale Force traps him in a Whirlwind loaded with his peers' projectiles. Held still, the villain turns to find Dark Shadow grown enormous under Total Release, enabled by Pixie-Bob's cover, storm clouds blotting the sun, and wind smothering Dabi's flames. At Hawks' call, with Gale Force wrapping an air current around the fist, Tsukuyomi lands Black Abyss: Light of Baldur and hammers All For One into the ground.

Lady Nagant's third shot disables Decay at the cost of her consciousness, letting Deku move the fight to the ground.

The vestige of All For One is overpowered and Tomura reclaims his body, revealing that he buried his younger self on purpose as a defense against the merger.

La Brava restores U.A.'s levitation and livestreams Gentle's rescue worldwide, and Shiketsu High reinforces the Gunga ruins in time for Tsukuyomi's Light of Baldur to floor All For One.

Adapted from Chapters 379 through the opening of Chapter 382. The anime reorders the climax: Deku starts pushing Tomura off the campus and considers his available Quirks before the vestige is destroyed, where the manga places this after the resurgence. Consequently All For One calls for Kurogiri while being shoved rather than standing before him, and their descent is detailed further.

U.A. is not visible floating behind the pair during the ground confrontation as it is in the manga. Gentle's praise for the Business Course gains a flashback to the end of his fight with Deku, and Chargebolt is shown angrily charging Electrification when his teachers fall.
