A robbery in Tasomiya draws Team Purple Revolution to a fourth floor office, where Midnight crashes in and Loud Cloud drifts through on a Cloud. The thief answers by hurling furniture, then floods the room with Smoke and drops out the window with the cash. Loud Cloud wants the chase; Nemuri stops him, since nobody knows whether the fumes are toxic and the tied up staff come first. Eraser Head takes the pursuit instead and gets blinded for it, and although His Purple Highness kicks away a thrown safe, the robber slips into the streets ahead of the squad cars.

The debrief is generous to two students and brutal to the third. Prioritizing civilians was correct, their mentor insists, since heroes who only tally arrests are just bounty hunters. Oboro is praised for initiative and gently told his judgment will sharpen. Shota is told he failed, not for losing the villain but for wearing a face like someone has died. A hero ought to be the pillar people look at and feel steadier for seeing, so smile, the man says, and trust whatever is inside you to bloom on schedule. The forced grin that results pleases nobody.

Oboro reads the lecture as advice about staying loose under pressure, and Nemuri's endless stream of cat photos does more for Shota's mood than any coaching. Days later the same robber hits a bank, and this time Shota charges straight through the smokescreen wearing Oboro's goggles, cancels the Quirk with Erasure, and holds the man in his capturing weapon long enough for a diving staff blow to finish it. Their teamwork earns applause; the smile still does not come.

Back at U.A. for the fall term, Shota keeps the goggles and Oboro buys an identical pair, declaring themselves a duo. Sensoji, who wears sunglasses against his own Blast glare, accuses Shota of stealing his look and challenges him during two on two training, wagering eyewear. He takes them both on alone, gets blinded by Cloud Cover, erased from behind, and dropped by a staff. Offered his sunglasses back, he grinds them under his boot instead and storms off.

Lunch on the roof turns into planning. Hizashi announces his transfer to the Purple Revolution Agency, Oboro proposes the three of them open an independent agency after graduation, and Shota objects that needing partners disqualifies him from the title. His friends reframe it: he handles the details, they cover the field. Nemuri turns down a fourth slot in favor of a castle staffed by handsome boys. Watching them squabble, Shota decides the sky has never looked bluer. A week later, in the rain, an emergency call reports a giant toad shaped monster tearing through Tamosiya Ward. His Purple Highness lies unconscious in the rubble, and one of Oboro's goggles sits broken on the ground beside him.

Team Purple Revolution fails to capture the Smoke Villain on the first attempt, and His Purple Highness uses the outcome to teach that civilian safety outranks arrests, while criticizing Eraser Head purely for his grim public presence.

Oboro lends Shota his goggles, which neutralize the smokescreen and let Erasure land. The pair capture the robber together and formally begin operating as a duo, later beating Sensoji two on one in combat training.

Oboro pitches a three man agency for after graduation, Hizashi announces his transfer to the Purple Revolution Agency, and Nemuri declines to join. One week later Garvey, shown only in silhouette, levels His Purple Highness and a trainee in Tamosiya Ward.

Number twenty of the Vigilantes anime and the seventh of season two, this entry covers Chapters 61 and 62 in the School Days arc. It premiered February 16, 2026, opening with CATCH!!! and closing with Miss you. Garvey's silhouette appears earlier here than his manga introduction.

The adaptation stages the first confrontation at a far greater distance from the office, which creates a new beat of His Purple Highness calling Eraser Head off the chase, and adds police cars to the escape. The robber throws an entire office setup before escaping, and expels smoke through a head antenna rather than through the openings set into his shoulders and skull.

Other changes cluster around timing and staging. The forced smile is attempted immediately after the lecture instead of after the second fight. Shota's disgust at Oboro leaving the shower, and the Cloud used for modesty, are anime only. The rematch runs longer with the capturing weapon in play throughout, the target is specified as a bank, and Oboro lands his finishing blow head on while Shota holds the villain, rather than striking from behind.
