Four practical exams play out back to back, but the hour belongs to Momo Yaoyorozu, whose collapsed confidence has left her deferring to Shoto at every turn. Eraser Head paired them precisely to break that habit, and Momo has to decide whether her own plan is worth saying out loud.
Fumikage and Tsuyu launch their bout with Ectoplasm by throwing each other upward, his Dark Shadow and her tongue combining to reach the labyrinth's higher floors. Recovery Girl explains the mismatch to Izuku from the monitors: Fumikage strikes fast but folds at close quarters, while Tsuyu has no obvious flaw and supports superbly, something Izuku remembers well from the U.S.J. At the exit, Ectoplasm's true body deploys Giant Bite Detention, an enormous duplicate that swallows the pair and pins them. Tsuyu then coughs up the handcuffs she swallowed before the match ever started, Dark Shadow carries them into a losing clash, and the teacher walks away with one leg cuffed and both students passing.
Tenya and Mashirao draw Power Loader on a dirt field riddled with collapsing pits. Riding on Tenya's back through a Recipro Burst sprint outruns the crumbling ground, and when Power Loader cuts them off, Tenya jumps clear, has Mashirao anchor a tail around his leg, and uses Recipro Extend to spin and hurl his partner over the gate.
Shoto and Momo then run an urban stage while Shota hunts them. Shoto's plan has Momo produce matryoshka dolls continuously as a tripwire, then flee while he stalls. He is strung up from a light pole above a scattering of caltrops within moments, and Shota's verdict is blunt: he shouldered everything himself instead of talking to his partner.
Momo escapes a capture with her Quirk but turns back rather than run, and Shota recognizes that her deference to Shoto is a confidence problem he would like to help with but cannot address mid-exam. Shoto pushes her to run the idea she swallowed at the start, insisting she is better at this than he is, then admits he cast his vote for her as class president. Flash grenades hidden inside the thrown dolls buy the opening to cut him down.
Her real scheme targets Shota's damaged Erasure, weakened since the Nomu fight, forcing him to blink; Shoto raises an ice wall in that gap. Momo fabricates a cloth resembling the capture weapon but woven with nitinol, a shape memory alloy that snaps back to its original tighter form under heat. Robes draped over mannequins bait Shota into wrapping empty cloth, a catapult flings the fabric onto him, Shoto heats it with his flames, and the teacher is bound completely and cuffed. Momo confesses she fumbled the catapult lever, though Shoto argues the stumble worked in their favor since Shota jumped back from a threat that was never there. Recovery Girl notes that Shota is a softie underneath it all.
The fifth bout finds Ochaco and Yuga clinging to a railing against Thirteen's Black Hole, which devours Yuga's navel laser as well. Watching Ochaco strain for an idea, Yuga asks whether she is imagining what Izuku would do, then asks whether she likes him.
Material comes from the back of Chapter 61, portions of Chapters 63 and 64, part of Chapter 66, and a few pages of Chapter 67. Tenya and Mashirao's match against Power Loader plays out in full here, and an extra beat between Momo and Shoto is inserted just ahead of their fight. Shota's Quirk receives a second explanation, the first having come back in Episode 6.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
My Hero Academia Episode 35, "Yaoyorozu: Rising," is the twenty-second episode of season 2, part of the Final Exams arc.
In Episode 35, Momo Yaoyorozu fabricates cloth woven with nitinol, a shape memory alloy, that snaps tight when Shoto Todoroki heats it with fire, binding and cuffing Shota Aizawa completely.
Tenya Ida carries Mashirao Ojiro on his back using Recipro Burst to outrun collapsing pits, then uses Recipro Extend to spin and throw Mashirao over the exit gate to escape Power Loader.
Fumikage Tokoyami and Tsuyu Asui combine his Dark Shadow with her tongue to reach higher floors, and Tsuyu secretly swallows handcuffs before the match, coughing them up so Dark Shadow can clinch the win.
While clinging to a railing against Thirteen's Black Hole in Episode 35, Yuga Aoyama asks Ochaco Uraraka whether she is imagining what Izuku Midoriya would do, then asks whether she likes him.
