Episode 67

Out on patrol for the agency, Mirio asks how the internship went and hears that ordinary street work never happened. With Sir and Bubble Girl watching the target, the pair expect an uneventful shift. Mirio shares his own code name, Lemillion, chosen for the million people he intends to save even knowing everyone is beyond him, and learns that his junior goes by Deku.

Then a small girl bolts from an alley into Izuku, flinching from his hands, and Overhaul emerges to collect her. Panic shows plainly on Izuku's face until Mirio pulls the mask up over it. The masked man calls Eri his daughter and apologises; Mirio confirms the Hassaikai connection through the mouth covering, hears the excuse about filth, and refuses to name their agency, passing them off as interns. Eri clings on, and Izuku will not walk away, arguing that abandoning a shaking child looks worse than anything. Overhaul offers to explain down the alley, and killing intent alone sends Eri scurrying back to him. Mirio reads her fear and insists they take this to Sir.

Inside the compound, Overhaul executes the man who let her slip out, disgusted by the hero syndrome infecting everyone outside. Regrouped, Sir Nighteye shoulders the blame and reveals what first drew the agency's eye: the encounter with Team Reservoir Dogs ended with Overhaul reassembling their bodies to erase the evidence. Izuku says he wants to save the girl and is told not to be arrogant. Rushing tips off the enemy and lets them vanish, and no one is special enough to rescue whoever they like whenever they like. The students are sent back to the office.

Eri is taken to an experimentation room and told not to run, because she is the linchpin of the operation. Mimic interrupts with word that Tomura is calling. At school the next day, Shoto and Katsuki are visibly wrecked by License training while Eijiro, Ochaco, and Tsuyu are away on their placements. Unable to concentrate, Izuku tracks down All Might mid-jog and asks for the truth about Nighteye, Mirio, and One For All.

All Might relents. Nighteye idolised him, talked his way into becoming his sidekick, and served as the strategist behind the operation. Six years ago, after the battle with All For One, the partnership ended: Nighteye pushed for retirement and a successor, backed by Nezu, while All Might argued the world needed its symbol. Nighteye had used Foresight on him and refused to keep enabling him, having seen the Symbol of Peace destroyed by a grisly villain. They split, Nezu put Mirio forward, and then All Might met Izuku before ever meeting Mirio, a fan just like the man he had lost.

Catching up, Izuku learns the vision places that death this year or next, and Foresight has never once missed. All Might had accepted it, believing his end had come against All For One, but raising Izuku restored his will to live, backed by a promise he gave Inko Midoriya. He intends to break the prophecy. Moved, Izuku swears to fight fate beside him and suggests another look through Foresight, which All Might still cannot bring himself to request. At the Shie Hassaikai Compound, the black communion opens with Tomura Shigaraki's arrival.

Izuku and Mirio make first contact with Overhaul and Eri, then are forced to let her go, and Sir Nighteye rebukes Izuku for wanting to rescue her on impulse.

The Team Reservoir Dogs restoration is revealed as the incident that put the Nighteye Agency onto the Hassaikai.

All Might explains the breakup with Sir Nighteye and the Foresight vision of his death, then vows alongside Izuku to defy it.

The fourth episode of season four, drawing on Chapter 129, Chapter 130, and part of Chapter 131.

The manga has Overhaul order Chronostasis to clear away his subordinate's remains as the killing happens, and includes Eraser Head threatening to end Izuku's Work-Study if his grades slip.
