Two gigantification villains tear up Espa Way until Nejire Chan drops in, winds her Quirk to 30 Output, and flattens them with Nejire Wave. Uravity and Froppy finish the job with a combined Meteor Fafrotskies. Ryukyu, ranked ninth among the pros, praises her trainees and hints they may be folded into a case Sir Nighteye is running.

Below ground, Tomura grumbles about the hours-long trip to reach Overhaul, who explains that yakuza survival depends on such caution. Mimic asks whether the League really means to sign on. Tomura sets conditions: nobody puts them under anyone, and he wants the plan spelled out. When he reaches into a pocket, Chronostasis and Mimic pin him down, and he shrugs it off, pointing out that a disposable yakuza body does not balance the ledger against Magne's life or Compress's arm. Overhaul calls them off, and Tomura produces one of the strange bullets that shut down Compress's Quirk, correctly guessing it sits at the heart of everything.

Over in Esuha City, Fat Gum patrols with Suneater and Red Riot. Eijiro thanks his host for the placement while Tamaki, remembering being badgered into it back at the dorms, wilts under the pressure and says he wants to go home. Thieves flee a crime scene; Fat Gum nabs three at once, and one escapes using something like Edgeshot's Quirk before Manifest brings him down. Tamaki's power grants him the traits of whatever he has eaten, and octopus tentacles plus a clam husk end the chase instantly.

Cheers embarrass Tamaki, and a criminal hidden in the crowd shoots him with the same Quirk-killing round used on Mr. Compress. In the meeting far below, Overhaul admits he wants those weapons to rewrite the order of things: All For One ruled by taking Quirks, and he intends a more refined method. A second shot bounces harmlessly off Eijiro, who gives chase while Tamaki finds his Quirk dead. Down an alley the villain lashes out with small arm blades, and Red Counter puts him on the ground.

Eijiro's decency undoes him. He offers a hand, and the man swallows an enhancement drug that grows those blades into long spears that pierce hardened skin. As Tamaki reaches the police, Eijiro remembers admitting to his classmates that a one-note Quirk cannot keep up, and Katsuki's answer that refusing to fall is what makes a hero strong. He drives his hardening to its ceiling with a new move, Unbreakable, plows through a focused strike, and finishes with Red Gauntlet.

The drug wears off and the villain reverts to sniveling, then exploits Eijiro's mercy a second time and nearly slips away. Fat Gum cuts him off with Fat Absorption and reminds his trainee that victory means stripping an opponent of the will to keep going. The crowd and the pro alike praise a spectacular debut, and Eijiro measures how far he has come from the coward he used to be. Fat Gum takes his students to the hospital, uneasy about drugs that can switch a Quirk off. At school the next day, the class cheers the news coverage of Eijiro, Ochaco, and Tsuyu, while Izuku carries the thought of Eri alone.

Tomura and Overhaul open the black communion, with Tomura refusing subordination and identifying the Quirk-cancelling bullet as the core of the yakuza's plan.

Tamaki is shot with one of the bullets and loses access to Manifest, confirming the weapon works on heroes.

Eijiro debuts Unbreakable and Red Gauntlet against a criminal using a Quirk-enhancing drug, earning his first public acclaim as Red Riot.
