Summary

Izuku, Eijiro, Ochaco, and Tsuyu train with an intensity their classmates notice, quiet and razor-focused. Aizawa had offered them an exit from the coming operation against the yakuza; none of them took it, because pulling Eri out matters more than the fact that their part will be small next to The Big 3's.

At lunch the strain shows. Weighed down by Eri and by the prophecy hanging over All Might, Izuku goes silent until Tenya reminds him that friends exist to be leaned on, echoing back the words Izuku once gave him when the Hero Killer had him in a dark place. It brings tears the boy immediately tries to stop, insisting heroes do not cry, though Shoto argues there are moments when they must. The two share their food with him.

Heroes across Japan keep grinding through every property tied to the Shie Hassaikai while the students wait by their phones. Two nights later the message finally lands: the location is known, and everyone is called back to the Nighteye Agency. Aizawa remarks on how fast the search closed, and Izuku and Mirio renew their vow.

Sir Nighteye reveals Eri is held beneath the family's main hideout. Asked how he knows, he holds up a toy meant for little girls, purchased in quantity by one Hassaikai member. Fat Gum guesses collector, and Nighteye corrects him: Foresight on the buyer showed the man's future as Eri's caretaker, and with it the route to her. The sidekicks add that they have a window when the members will be home and a warrant from the police, so all that remains is getting inside. The news restores some of Mirio's usual energy, and he tries to lift Deku's spirits, which cheers both classes. Watching him, Nighteye understands what the choice to leave Eri behind has cost his apprentice, a choice made to secure the best possible outcome, and he is confident it will not have been wasted.

At eight the next morning, outside the police station, the raid team receives detailed intelligence on the underground complex, the fastest path to Eri, and the registered Quirks belonging to Hassaikai members. Class 1-A's students are nervous and impatient. Izuku asks after Gran Torino and is told that something involving the League has pulled him away. Inside the compound, informed that the authorities are massing, Overhaul visits a comatose old man he calls Pops and apologises for the noise to come.

At 8:30 the operation begins. An officer reaches for the intercom, warrant in hand, and Rikiya Katsukame explodes through the gate, scattering policemen whom Eraser Head and Deku snatch to safety. Rock Lock wonders whether they were expected. Rikiya demands to know why they are here and winds up to swing with swollen muscles, and Ryukyu shifts into her Dragon form, catches the punch on a claw, and floors him. She tells the other squads to press on to the hideout while her agency handles this. The remaining yakuza refuse to yield and the yard turns into a brawl; the minor heroes hold the line while Sir Nighteye drives for the entrance. Below, Overhaul and Chrono ready the Eight Bullets to stall long enough to flee with Eri and the research.

Notes

Seventh episode of the fourth season, adapting Chapter 137 and Chapter 138.

Nighteye's inner monologue about Mirio is illustrated rather than left on a black background, and gains a flashback of him using his Quirk on a hospitalised All Might.

Extra Class 1-A material and additional investigation scenes are added, while panels of the team suiting up are cut in favour of Izuku and Mirio alone.
