Overview
The Creature Rejection Clan, generally shortened to CRC, was a cult-like villain organization of religious character whose goal was removing Mutant-type Quirk users from civilization. Its acolytes wore religious habits and hid their faces behind skull-shaped masks.
Rejection of physical abnormality sat at the core, held onto even after superpowered society had stabilized and moved past that bigotry. Protest was the original method. Radicalization pushed the CRC into violent crime, which cost it public sympathy, shrank it drastically, and broke it into scattered cells. Various branches now run their own variations, among them the Animal Rejection Clan, which hates anyone built along animal lines, and the Face Border Clan, which rejects heads it judges abnormal, though every one of these offshoots is tiny. Members are fanatically committed and turn violent on anyone who transgresses their places of worship, and many observers regard the whole hate group as a fossil of a past age.
Role
A ceremony at the mansion the CRC used as a temple was interrupted by the League of Villains. One acolyte fixed on Spinner and called his appearance unpleasant, while another noticed Himiko Toga and Mr. Compress helping themselves to the organization's property. Compress explained plainly that the League was short on funds and had to resort to theft.
The acolytes attacked over the outrage. Tomura Shigaraki blocked the first strike and told them the League would leave as soon as it finished collecting anything of value. The short fight ended with every CRC member dead, the League carrying on its search and departing with hardly anything to show for it. The encounter, logged as League of Villains versus Creature Rejection Clan, falls within the Meta Liberation Army Arc, and the organization is listed as deceased.
Notable Members
No individual member of the CRC is named. The clan is defined instead by its splinter branches and by a shared uniform of habits and skull masks, and the last of its acolytes died in the temple.
Its destroyers, the League of Villains, included Tomura Shigaraki, Spinner, Himiko Toga, and Mr. Compress.
