Another creation out of U.A.'s Department of Support, the Hydraulic Bracers were designed and built by Mei Hatsume. She wore the rig during her Sports Festival match against Tenya Ida.
Despite the name, the equipment sits on the back, resembling a mechanical pack rather than anything worn on the arms.
Function
Inside the pack is a detection device tuned to spot an opponent moving in to strike. The moment its sensors register that approach, hydraulic attachments fire on their own and pull the wearer out of the attack's path.
Coverage runs in every direction, so an attempt from behind is handled the same as one from the front.
