Kazuho shows Koichi an email from her blog inviting her to perform live on a department store roof. The offer scares her, since audiences see her as a street singer and a bad showing would scatter them, but chances like this are rare. She asks Koichi what to do, and both answers he offers earn him a punch. When he suggests consulting Knuckleduster, she snaps that his opinion was never wanted. The old man tells her to do it and do it properly, tells Koichi to help, and leaves for his own business, striking Koichi as unusually direct.

Koichi later brings in Makoto Tsukauchi. Kazuho is furious that her secret identity is known, and Koichi blames Makoto's sharp intuition. Makoto promises to keep the masked side of her life quiet and frames her involvement as a job rather than a favor, insisting she be relied on. Since Koichi does not inspire much confidence, Kazuho reluctantly agrees.

Reading the email, Makoto identifies the venue as the Marukane department store, damaged earlier by a monster and now staging a grand reopening. She lays out the unflattering reality: a roof capped at three hundred people, no tickets sold, timed to a food court opening and aimed at whoever wanders in for a meal, with local talent booked because it is cheap and schedule-friendly. Kazuho takes the neighborhood karaoke comparison as an insult. Makoto's answer is to blow the sponsors' minds.

Meanwhile a monstrous villain combining Gigantification, Flight-Spinning, and a Turtle Quirk rampages through Naruhata. Captain Celebrity arrives with his all-male cheering squad, greeting them with visible embarrassment while he fights. Makoto reaches him by phone during it; he mentions the incident, says insurance covers the damage, and notes he is pitching in on construction and prioritizing the city's emergencies. When she pitches an idea to broaden his appeal locally, he tells her to go ahead and set it up.

Introducing herself as chief manager of the Captain Celebrity Agency, Makoto phones the store and tells the event planner the agency backs their goals and asks only that the hero be credited for cooperating. She also suggests dressing the venue up so the talent showcase does not look cheap and tacky, offering to supply equipment and staff. Off the call, she explains the mechanics: the hero's name draws the crowd, and ad revenue pays for the extra gear. She intends to make it memorable.

In a park afterward, Koichi and Kazuho run into Jube and Ichimoku, who congratulate her on the concert. Flattered but badly nervous, she answers Koichi's attempt at encouragement with a fist to the stomach.

Across the city, Kuin Hachisuka learns of the event, and because it irritates her she decides to ruin it. A classmate asks whether she knows anything about their missing friend, the girl Kuin used as bait for Soga, and Kuin claims to have no idea where she is. What she does not notice is Knuckleduster watching her, pleased to have finally found her.

Kazuho Haneyama receives a blog request asking her to sing at the Marukane department store's rooftop reopening.

Makoto Tsukauchi is brought in to organize the event and leverages her position at the Captain Celebrity Agency to attach the hero's name to it, funding upgrades through ad revenue.

Captain Celebrity defeats a monstrous villain in Naruhata whose Quirks combine Gigantification, Flight-Spinning, and Turtle traits.

Kuin Hachisuka decides to sabotage the concert, unaware that Knuckleduster has located her.

The twentieth chapter of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court. It ran twenty-one pages, was released December 23, 2017, and was collected in volume 4 within the Vs. Queen Bee arc. The anime adapted it as Episode 10.

Kuin Hachisuka takes the cover, and Eiji Okameda debuts as the monstrous villain of the chapter.

The chapter originally carried the title Discovery before being renamed for the volume release. The kaiju-styled villain Captain Celebrity fights is modeled on Gamera.
