Round four opens on a race to strike first. Setsuna Tokage builds an ambush around glue, silence and a body that comes apart in fifty pieces, while Katsuki Bakugo drags his team forward on the conviction that hesitation loses matches. What surprises everyone is who he chooses to protect.
Team 4-B sizes up its problems. Kojiro flags Hanta and Kyoka as the biggest threats; Yosetsu adds Katsuki and Rikido to the tally and concludes that the opposing lineup balances attack and defense so well that falling behind is fatal. Togaru cares for none of the analysis and simply wants to carve his rivals up. Setsuna settles it: whoever moves first takes the match, so they move.
Vlad King, still on commentary, reminds the room that the two classes sit level at a win each, then wonders aloud whether they really are equals and laughs that 1-A owes its only victory to Hitoshi. Eijiro and Denki boo him for the framing. At a distance, Midnight finds it funny that a man with Blood Control cannot govern his own hot blood, and All Might calls it overflowing passion. Shota tells his students to knock it off and concedes that Vlad King has outperformed him as a teacher. All Might observes that daily training has lifted 1-B, though 1-A will not stay still for it, and when Midnight teases him about favoritism he insists he loves every student, before turning back to the screen with Katsuki on his mind.
On the field Katsuki is snapping at his team for lagging. Kyoka is trying to listen as she goes; he tells her to drop it and keep up. Hanta and Rikido grumble that the Sports Festival evidently taught him nothing about manners, but Kyoka has noticed he is more willing to work with people now. She thinks back to their planning session, where Katsuki claimed the lead with the others in support and told her to pinpoint 1-B by sound. Hanta preferred caution first, scouting with her Quirk and striking after, and Katsuki mocked the idea: strike first or the match is already gone.
Back in the present, he calls out a sighting and Kyoka goes to work, only for her Quirk to tell her it is a trap. Setsuna appears at Katsuki's back and announces his time is up. Her Lizard Tail Splitter lets her divide into as many as fifty moving pieces, depending on length, and she swarms him. Katsuki notes the parts hit for little but make maddeningly small targets. Hanta throws up Barricade Tape to wall them out and waves Katsuki over, then Kojiro drenches the tape in glue, delighted the plan is working. Togaru lines up an attack from above, quiet enough that nobody will hear him coming, and Setsuna adds that anything Kojiro has coated will stick fast and cripple movement. Rikido braces to catch a falling pipe himself so Hanta and Kyoka can stay in the match. Then Katsuki blows the glued pipes and the barricade apart, still swarmed the whole time. With the wall gone, Togaru dives, ordered to take Kyoka first as the most dangerous of them, and Katsuki cuts him off at the last second with an explosion at point-blank range.
Round four of the Joint Training Battle gets underway.
