Revival Party

The League takes stock. If Re-Destro really has satellite coverage, Mr. Compress argues, they are in serious trouble, and that sits on top of a giant who still will not yield.

Twice refuses to treat it as a debate at all. Giran handed him somewhere to belong, so the rescue is not optional. Himiko Toga counters that the Army may be lying and the broker may already be a corpse; Twice answers that even a sliver of a chance is worth the trip. Mr. Compress tries to cool him down, noting that what he is proposing is a blind charge into danger and that Twice has always bonded too easily.

Tomura tears off Twice's mask and says he has a plan, then raises the doctor on the radio. Daruma remarks on the League's talent for waking up buried organizations. Compress asks for a High-End Nomu of the sort Dabi had; the answer is a flat refusal. The rest of his children are not test-ready, and had Dabi brought Hood's corpse back there might have been something to work with. Without All For One, though, production is beyond him. Compress notes how narrow the doctor's usefulness turns out to be.

Tomura never wanted the Nomu anyway. He asks how long until Gigantomachia stirs, and Compress counts off a hundred and fifty-five minutes. Told that Dabi is sitting on the Mie and Shiga border, Tomura asks to be warped there. Spinner, rattled, asks whether they are truly walking into the trap. Tomura explains what six weeks of fighting taught him: the giant is not invincible, only enormously powerful.

Spinner catches on. Gigantomachia will chase Tomura anywhere, so a war against the revolutionaries is exactly the exercise needed to run him down. The doctor calls the scheme underhanded and wonders whether Re-Destro was bluffing all along, to which Tomura replies that a fool would simply die, and leaves it there. Spinner mutters that they are actually doing this while Tomura puts Twice's mask back on, and Twice sighs with relief at being whole again.

They regroup on a hill above Deika City. Compress observes that setting the Army against the giant obliges the League to fight too, and that none of it will come cheap. Dabi grumbles about being dragged in, then dismisses the notion that owing Giran an introduction means anything, which earns him a swing of Twice's measuring tape and a shout of "bastard."

Pro Hero Slidin' Go turns up as their escort to Re-Destro. Spinner is stunned to see a Hero, and one he cannot place. The town is eerily vacant, and Tomura works out that the place belongs to the Army. Slidin' Go admits this is not his usual patch but confirms it is liberated ground, with ninety percent of the residents, Heroes included, in the Army's ranks. Koku Hanabata and Chitose Kizuki come to greet them.

Koku welcomes the League as guests of honor at the Revival Celebration, and warriors pour in swinging. Gesturing toward a tower, he places Giran with the Grand Commander. Twice fumes over the broken promise while Tomura writes Koku off as a mini-boss and orders everyone toward the tower. Cameras record it all. An explosion knocks Himiko down, and Chitose, framing a shot with her fingers, floats a headline about a high-schooler's descent into madness. Himiko tells her it stinks, and the two square off.

Slidin' Go is exposed as a member of the Meta Liberation Army, establishing that Heroes number among its affiliates.

The High-End Nomu that Endeavor put down is given a codename: Hood.

Fifteen pages in Volume 23, published April 15, 2019 in issue 20 of 2019. The anime splits it, with pages one through six in Episode 108 and the remainder in Episode 109. Mr. Compress, Twice, Spinner, Himiko Toga, and Giran share the cover.

The chapter moves from the Niigata Mountains to Deika City. Slidin' Go's unnamed sliding Quirk, Decay, and Landmine all feature. The Revival Celebration begins here, and with it the fight between Himiko Toga and Curious.
