Chapter 25 (Vigilantes)

Flat on his back, Knuckleduster runs through the stages his body will pass on the way to dying from the jolt he just took. The shock itself tells him what happened: the bee loaded Kuin Hachisuka with a sample, handing her an electric Quirk taken from an eel. He smiles at how clever his daughter has proven. Kuin rubs the arm the discharge ruined, tells him she will be waiting in hell, and leaves him there.

On the roof of the Marukane Department Store the power comes back on. Pop☆Step announces the show, and the FeatherHATS tear into their remix of the store's jingle to loud cheering from the crowd below.

Kuin sees the lights return and the event carry on regardless, and decides she will go crash it instead. Then Knuckleduster walks out of the darkness. The Taser Knuckle that should have finished him worked as a defibrillator and brought him back.

Kuin tells him she intends to wear this body out and step into the next one. She comes at him with a swarm of the genuine Bomb Bees and a hand carrying enough voltage to kill her own host if she spends it. Knuckleduster's mind goes to the day she left, the way she looked straight through him on her way out. He leaps and swings the Taser Knuckle and finds nothing. Her electric claws find nothing either. His fist lands, and the Taser Knuckle puts her down.

The origin of Kuin's electricity is confirmed as a Quirk sample delivered by her bee. Knuckleduster survives what should have been a fatal shock by turning his own Taser Knuckle on himself as a defibrillator, then returns to finish the fight and defeats her.

Elsewhere in Naruhata, the Marukane rooftop show goes off successfully once power is restored, with Pop☆Step introducing the FeatherHATS to an enthusiastic audience. Kuin's plan to ruin the event never gets off the ground.

Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and drawn by Betten Court, the chapter runs twenty one pages, belongs to the Vs. Queen Bee arc, and is collected in volume 4. It was published on March 12, 2018. Knuckleduster and Kuin Hachisuka appear together on the cover.

The chapter first carried a different title, "No Better Daddy" (Sutekina Papa), which was swapped for the current one when the volume was released. Chapter 24 precedes it and Chapter 26 follows. Episode 12 of the Vigilantes anime adapts it.
